Cask conditioned handpump Wootton WMC. A copper coloured beer with a little off-white coloured head. A biscuity and crackerbread accented aroma with mostly malts which carry through to the mouth. On the sweet side. A pretty decent quaffing ale.

imdownthepub (14554) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2009
Cask conditioned at The Coalheavers, Peterborough. Dark amber with white head. Good deep roasty bitter, plenty of fresh tasting malt, some bittersweetness and a touch fruity. A good well balanced bitter.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2010 1)Cask gravity, The Cock, Hemingsford Grey. Pops MacDrunkeasy just wouldn’t believe I’d stumbled innocently on their small but very tasteful little festival. Anyway, headless tawny with buttered fresh orange citrus wafts. Peardrop, caramel, vanilla, egg custard spiciness and linger. Fresh and lovely, despite the festival treatment. 2) Cask handpull, The Green Dragon, Lincoln. Bronze with white skim. Lemony aroma with an undercurrent of tropical fruit; almond softness, fresh honeycomb malt, Wotsit hints, vanilla linger. Good. 636313.

Cask at the Oakdale Arms, London N4 yesterday. A moderately flavoursome amber bitter, with malt being the salient feature. Moderate biscuity malt aromas on the nose, quite rich in malt flavours on the main kick, with a slightly (but not overly) sweet lingering finish when the drinker pauses between sips. Clear, with a thin, insubstantial diminishing head, but a weighty body. A pleasant drink.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JAN 1, 2009
Cask at the Eastbourne Beer Festival, 11th Oct 2008. Deep tawny amber with varied malts on the nose. Good weight and overall an enjoyable pint.

Cask in the Coalheavers Arms. Alround rating: Richer malts than expected, on the sweeter side of balanced, perhaps lacking in condition, but like alright.

Rune (12777) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 4, 2008
Clear, red-brown body with a off-white patch on the surface. Grass-hoppy to the nose. Rounded flavour of hops mixed with herbs and malt. Bitter aftertaste. Well balance and pleasant in the mouth (Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney 12.08.2008)

Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2008
(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 24 April 2008) Dark amber colour with brief off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of oranges and canned peaches. Fruity, nutty taste with orange, a hint of sulphur and slightly earthy hops in the finish. Light body. An uncomplicated but ok bitter.

Handpump, The Pembury, London: Biscuit brown to amber with a creamy head. Fruity nose with a mild Golden Syrup note behind some herbal hop notes. Watery woody-herb flavours with some mildly astringent tannins keeping a gentle malt sweetness in check. Simple, rustic, and nice enough.
