A true IPA. Strong, hoppy, bitter and delicious. A blend of five hops gives this pale ale a proper punch.

Golden-amber. Hoppy, lightly appley, sweet up front with some alcohol at the back, with a dash of those same hops.

Cask @ Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London 20/08/13. Pours a light orange with not much of a head. Aroma is semisweet, fruity with exotics. Taste is semisweet. Hop-forward with gooseberry and grapefruit. Turns sweeter on the caramelly finish. Quite full, no carbonation.

Cask at Maypole, Cambridge. Golden brown. Strong spice and fruit aroma. Taste is strongly alcoholic with a robust sweet finish. A real find.

My Bottom Line:
Lean and citrusy, this IPA fails to convey freshness even though it is highly drinkable and its resinous undercurrents get charming halfway through the pint.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the clear golden.
-The aroma is linear and not bright enough.
-Malts convey a few slick honey notes.
-The flavour profile is balanced.
-Having had a pint of Green Devil the day before, I can say this Prometheus, although decent, is quite disappointing in the New World IPA category.

On cask at The Devonshire Arms, Cambridge.

This is a really excellent beer. High percentage, really nice and interesting flavours. Also, lovely passion nose

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, fruity, moderate hoppy, citrus, lemon, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111205]

[email protected] White Lion, Norwich. Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is nectar, hay, sweet malts and some mild nutty notes as well. Flavour is fruity, nectary, honeyish with some mild bitter hops as well. Easy to drink and pleasant.

Cask - The White Lion, Norwich. Poured with a fine, loose & bubbly white head on a clear golden orange body. Good hoppy citrus profile. Yeast & bitter citric hops on the tongue with a balancing tangerine & demerara sugar sweetness. Medium body, soft palate, medium length softish bitterness. Soft, juicy & very quaffable for the ABV.

Cask handpull at Star Inn Huddersfield. Clear gold lasting white head. Difficult to tell after a hot sausage sandwich. Actually it is quite light in the mouth. Considering the abv its quite easy drinking. Some peach some lemon. Actually a pretty light ipa with decent hop sting on finish.
