Handpull cask at the Haymakers, Cambridge. Mid- to dark gold, with a big white head that quickly dissipates. Country garden and orange peel aroma. Sweet taste which has a slight citrus astringency in the medium to long finish. Thick oily body. You can taste the premium strength, and it gives the beer a bit of bravado. So... not Miltons most interesting recipe but certainly worth a try.

From cask. Its been a while since I had this one so I dont really remember its characteristics. I was not blown away by its taste for sure, but it was not a bad beer.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2013 Cask at pembury. Fairly tangy pale ale in a modern American style. Muted aroma and refreshing, nothing outstanding.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Olde England Northampton 02/04/13. A bright golden beer with a bubbly white head. Citrus and floral notes are dominated by sweetness. An elderflower element. A little chewy. Turns out over sweet and a bit of a struggle.

(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 22 Nov 2012) Golden colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of tropical fruit, citrus and peaches. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, fruit salad, honey and a generous citric bitterness emerging in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and quite nice.

Cask, handpump at The Devonshire, Cambridge Sat 14th April 2012 with Loz Mid gold with a white rim of bubbles. A superb balance of hoppiness and sweet maltiness, this is already proving to be quite a hit with me and Loz whove both decided that we need to stay for another one (of these!) Tropical fruits, juicy, fruity, tasty, lovely! A7 A5 T9 P4 Ov16 4.1

On cask at the Ely Winter Beer Festival, 2012. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. A lovely fresh cut green hop aroma with candy sugar, caramel and alcohol. Similar flavours with mild carbonation and a dry finish. Mildly bitter. Very tasty.

sm89walt (2056) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 24, 2012
Cask - The White Lion, Norwich. A clear, bright golden orange coloured beer that poured with a fine, loose and bubbly, slowly disappearing white head. Juicy and fresh aromatic floral and citrus hop aromas - tangerine and peach primarily to the fore. Tangerine and peach hop overtones on the tongue, marmalade, light grapefruit and lemon pith at the back. Some delicate biscuity maltiness underneath. A dryness chips in at the end cutting through the otherwise juicy profile. Quite crisp on the palate, light to medium body, refreshing and softish mouthfeel with a lingering bittersweet finish. Towards the end of the barrel but not to its detriment.
