Imperial Pint at MAH. Amber-brown color. Steady thin beige/off-white head. Lots of toffee and malt notes. Buttery, nutty aroma. A pretty well executed Brown Ale. Subdued soapy hop balance. Mild, well done, but not exactly World Class stuff. crossovert (12927) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 3, 2011
On Tap at the Ale House in Milwaukee. It is one of the fruitier brown ales I have encountered, immensely drinkable. MIBRomeo (2570) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Off orange pour w/ a light head and some decent lacing. Brown ale sweet bread and honey aromas. A bit sweeter than I expected almost some candied sugar on caramel w/ a touch of roast with a little hop in the finish. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 30, 2011
On tap at the Milwaukee Ale House. Poured medium orange with a nice cap of off-white head.. looked good in the glass. The aroma was sweet, with caramel, honey, and nutty notes leading.. vibrant earthy accents.. not bad. The flavor was also sweet, with similar sweetness at the core (along with a hit of baker’s chocolate).. fresh earthy and piney bitterness surrounded.. candied feel on the finish. Light-medium bodied and too sweet on the palate (very approachable due to that).. hoppier than expected, which was a good thing.. very sessionable. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2010
