Another nondescript cream ale. This one is perhaps hoppier and fuller bodied than most, but it is kind of buttery and mundane. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Flight on tap at the brewpub (Milwaukee, WI). Pours a rich straw lightly hazed hue, pale with a lively creamy white head atop. Dies to a solid film, thicker ring of lacing sticks around. Aromas are gentle kisses of bready malts, grain, cereal, a touch of fruity apple and lemon, gentle touches of grass. Fairly clean. Initial is light bodied with just a touch to cling on the palate, bready malts, touches of apple and lemon, grain, cereal, touches of grassy hops are gentle. Well integrated, with mellow sweetness, clean and easy drinkability. Mellow fruit. Finish is crisp with a gentle touch of sweetness tugging at the tounge. Simple yet doable. Draft at the Ale House. Pours a clear straw with a fluffy white head. Really clean overall, no DMS noted but there is a grainy corn note. Absent hops. On tasting, light and crisp, not a lot of character but the corn is present again. Soft biscuity malts, no real hop character. Still, really solid cream ale. dekester1 (366) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 27, 2011
On tap at the Ale House. Served a mid-gold color with a nice frothy head that faded to a decent lacing during the drink. Aroma was of malt and grains with slight fruitiness from the hops. Taste was nice and smooth - malt/corn/grain front-end with a mild hop bitterness finish. Nothing fancy here but good none-the-less. Palate was nice and full for a cream. Overall, one of the better cream ales I have tasted. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2011
On tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Poured slightly cloudy pale golden with a sticky white head. The aroma opened a bit lactic, with a touch of lemon as well.. pale malts supported.. overall soft and well-balanced, but not exciting or enjoyable. The flavor found pale and a little honey maltage at the core, with fresh lemon zest and earthy bitterness around.. more tart on the finish.. again OK, but not great. Light-bodied on the palate and smooth across the middle.. a tad too bitter and sharp on a couple points.. most certainly drinkable.

I quite certain this is what they have brewed for the State Fair ’05 under the moniker Cream Puff Ale. Slightly hazed light golden color with a small off white creamy head. Light aromas of pale malt and hints of grass. Simple flavors of mild vanilla and pale malt. LIght and refreshing, but granted it was 90F out and nearly all brews were hitting the spot. This beer had a mild scent and kind of bland, but easy drinking. Reminded me a lot of New Glarus Spotted Cow.
