Our lightest ale brewed with a generous dollop of Wisconsin honey and pale malt. Before gas streetlamps, Milwaukee's nightlife consisted of dank saloons and rough and ready backroom bars - Street lighting brought into vogue a more refined social life. The shift from dark barrooms to airy beer gardens was mirrored by the new choice of beers as Milwaukee began to thirst for lighter, cleaner, more refined beers.

Slightly hazy orange-tan. Foamy head. Not bad for a house light beer I suppose. Honey maly tones, very nice and easy going. Well done for what it was going for, despite being a touch grainy.

On tap. It is a mild, subtle, slightly sweet crowd-pleaser type ale, it doesn’t have a lot of character but goes down easily.

Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Filtered with a golden hue. Brainy white head. Aromas of cereal grains and a mild hop bitterness. Light bodied but with nice discernable flavors. Crisp body with a bright, fresh palate. Good effervescence and a subtle citrus and orange in an otherwise mild finish. Subtle kiss of honey. Super session that actually has flavor!

aroma is wet newsprint, half rotten cereal left out in the rain. appearance is translucent urine, ring of head and zero lacing leaving a spotless glass where ’beer’ once was. flavor is factory malt, grainy cardboard and hint of honey to close. mouthfeel is ultra wet, quick.

Golden yellow, white head. Aroma is honey sweetness, light malt. Taste is crisp, honey, dry malts.

Beery and refreshing. On draft. Light amber, clear with no head. Hop bitter at end. Actually has a nice aftertaste. Better than I expected, a well balanced and drinkable light beer.

It is a light lager. yellow color. Very light malt and hops with a thin palate, and it isn’t terrible for a light yellow beer, but I wouldn’t have tried it if it did not come with the sampler.

phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 11, 2008
Pours a light golden colour and a medium white head. Has a pretty malty taste. grainy and slightly watery it lacks a solid body and reminds me of something very similar to an MGD.

shendrix (478) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2007
A fair beer. Very light in the nose. The palate is a light, floral honey with a bit of vanilla and a hint of banana in the finish.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - SEP 8, 2007
Sampled at the brewpub on 6/25/07: Pours a transparent bright golden with a clingy-lacing web of white foam. Lightly grainy, earthy semi-sweet pale malty nose has a hint of floral honey. Body starts fairly thin and light with a touch of flowery sweet clover honey and Vienna malt toward a mildly bitter and drier finish. Light and drinkable, but bland.
