On draft at the Milwaukee Public Market. Dark brown with tan lacing. Roasty sweet nose. Roasty bitter flavors a little grainy. Not bad. Better than most of their other offerings. 7/3/7/3/13

Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Dark brown hue with fine golden, amber highlights. Medium ring of light khaki head. Aromas of mild anise and subtle coffee. Subtle traces of pepper and nuts. Medium bodied with a toasty roasty malt flavor. Trace hops and totally malt dominant. Subtle dark berry esters, but faint. A touch light in the seat but still has a good palate.

Good black pour w/ a tall thick tan head that dissipates quickly. Served a bit too cold fr style has a bitter coffee finish. Avg palate. On tap at the brew pub. Pours a not opaque dark brown with thin creamy light brown head. Fairly sweet, not very roasty malt flavor. Thin, moderate carbonation. Just okay.
