Draft at MAH. Served in an Imperial Pint glass. Opaque brown-black. Thick, steady, beige head. A pretty solid Porter, sweet and sugary. Somewhat watery body, almost reminiscent of a Milk Stout at times with it’s pungency. Mellow. OK. holdenn (2127) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 15, 2011
On draft at the Milwaukee Public Market. Dark brown with tan lacing. Roasty sweet nose. Roasty bitter flavors a little grainy. Not bad. Better than most of their other offerings. 7/3/7/3/13

On tap. It is a dark, rich, and robust American porter. I enjoyed it on tap at the Milwaukee Ale House. cbfobes (2891) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2010
On tap at brew pub, pours a dark brown with a thin tan head, the aroma is maltly and the flavor is very much the same, has a malty finish, decent. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 31, 2010
Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Dark brown hue with fine golden, amber highlights. Medium ring of light khaki head. Aromas of mild anise and subtle coffee. Subtle traces of pepper and nuts. Medium bodied with a toasty roasty malt flavor. Trace hops and totally malt dominant. Subtle dark berry esters, but faint. A touch light in the seat but still has a good palate.

I did not pick up any sourness, which I might have liked in this beer. Black of course. Nearly still, with very low carbonation. Heavily roasted malt and grain, but also a lot of sugar. This is a sweet beer. Finished of roasted grain. MIBRomeo (2579) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 26, 2010
Good black pour w/ a tall thick tan head that dissipates quickly. Served a bit too cold fr style has a bitter coffee finish. Avg palate. Very dry toasty taste lacks the chocolate I’d expect tiny hint of lactose. Aroma I roast malt hint of coffee. Drinkable but nothing special. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - MAR 8, 2010
On tap at the brew pub. Pours a not opaque dark brown with thin creamy light brown head. Fairly sweet, not very roasty malt flavor. Thin, moderate carbonation. Just okay.
