I took to this one quickly. The hops used to flavor this one are among my favorites and they did not disappoint. The aroma was well balanced with a nice citrus hop presence and reasonable malty backbone. The flavor was similar with and easy blend of cascade and Goldings flavors (i.e., cascade did not dominate with grapefruit and other citrus, but was more subtle with the addition of the Goldings). Very drinkable and a nice balanced offering (I had two). clingman71 (297) - Centerville, Ohio, USA - JUL 31, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2007 Draft-brewery. I had high expectaions for Milwaukee Ale House. I tried the APA and was very disappointed. I t looked good, had an ok aroma, but average, and I am being generous, flavor. It wasn’t good, just quaffable. The place seemed more interested in the band and being as "hot spot" than being a "craft" brewery. I saw more people drinking macros than the house beers, this is a serious problem. Tap: copper with a decent head. Citrus/pine hop aroma. flavor the same with some malt to balance. Nice hop bite at the end. Decent pale ale for sure. hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2005
On tap at the Milwaukee Ale House Brew Pub. Poured a medium amberish-copper color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of grapefruit, citrus and pine. Had a lightly sweet balance to the nice hoppy finish. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 9, 2005
UPDATED: JUN 11, 2006 Poured to a bronze/copper colored body with a rocky white head and excellent lacing. The aroma has some good APA characteristics. Pine and grapefruit hop with some decent malt. However, the aroma is a touch weak. Perhaps it’s the glassware/bar atmosphere. The flavor is nicely hoppy, some malt. Typical APA. The palate is rich and full, smooth. A good beer in the APA family.

a cloudy copper yellow hugh w/ a thin white head w/ great lacing... the smell was grapefruit (light) and pine needles.. the palate was thin and carbonated. The flavor was mildly hoppy w/ a sort of stale finish overall I was unimpressed and wouldn’t drink this again. JPDIPSO (6236) - Wauwatosa, USA - JAN 11, 2005
Dark slightly hazed amber color with a small dense head. Aromas of pine and mild grapefruit. Mild malt lingers in the back. Some fresh hops flavors with a mild light fruitiness mid quaff. Finsih has a mild pine and grapefruit bite. Medium body. A decent Pale. StewardofGondor (1934) - Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 11, 2004
I really liked this beer. In fact, I had several last night at the Ale House. The picture of the beer on the left does it justice. The Pull Chain is a orangish/brownish and pours with a slight bit of head on the top.
The taste was my favorite part - very hoppy with some malty aspects. It leaves a similar aftertaste as a German pilsner with a little more earthy tones. A great beer to drink all night or to enjoy on its own. jsquire (4525) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - NOV 3, 2004
On tap at the pub. Orange color with a nice off-white head and a nose full of citrus hops. Caramel sweetness and better body than the Soloman Juneau, but still dominated by the hop. There is a noticable hop burn on the tongue. Better with food.

Dirty Orange Coloring. Hoppy and Dry. Not My Favorite Offering Here, but Still a Decent Ale
