COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complex flavors and aromas come from a variety of sources. Barley malt and wheat help create a smooth body and attribute a pleasant golden hue while the addition of malted rye and oats brings out a solid earthy flavor. Czech Saaz Hops help create a citrus nose. What makes this beer truly special is the Saison Ale yeast strain used to ferment this beer. The subtle hints of tangerine, peach and licorice are the hallmarks of this particular yeast.

Bottle courtesy of nuplastikk, thank you sir! Not much info on the label except "Farmhouse Ale" and the Surgeon General’s warning. Good thing I’m not pregnant. Deep murky orange color, small white head, scant lacing. Aroma or orange peel, light spice, very mild funk. Taste is citrus and light spice. OK.

A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with peaches, light woody terpentines. In mouth, a smooth sweet saison with orange notes, ginger, decent. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 19 2012.

12 oz bottle. It pours a nice gold with a large, foamy white head. The smell is unique. It has a noticeable sourness to it with some vinegar, but also dominating characteristics of a saison yeast, it is big and spicy. The taste is similar, spicy with a hint of tartness. for the abv it is pretty refreshing actually although the sweetness is there. Not a bad beer, an experiment perhaps that turned out exceptionally well.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with an orange hue and an off-white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of spice, flora and sweet grain with a hint of citrus. Flavor has heavy flora and spice with backing sweet grains and light fruit.

Bottle. Big time clove and malty wheat in this. Pretty dense palate for the style. Lots of aroma and flavor - I’m digging this.

On tap @ the Über Tap Room in the Wisconsin Cheese Shop, Milwaukee. Light amber colour. Lightly grainy and toasty, soft spice, low bitterness. Saison? Strange.

Bottled. Poured medium golden with a colossal white head that never really went down. The aroma picked up yeasty notes, earth, and white pepper over pale and bready malts.. more yeasty on the back of the nose.. decent. The flavor found the same thick dose of yeast, with lemon zest, coriander, and cloves around.. spices were thick and quasi-enjoyable on the back. Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. heavy on the spices and yeast.. overall drinkable, but far from great.

Aroma is mildly spicy yeast, cream and a hint of fruit and malts. The flavor is citrus, berries/grapes, a hint of spice and a tart and malty finish.

Decent beer. Spicy and citrus notes. Wheat style which I don't like too much. For the style this is probably good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan, thin fading white head. Interesting funky sour aroma, not off. Medium to full bodied, has a nice thick golden malt base. Balanced by the funky sour Saison yeast, has some lemony bitterness, a bite up front that fades into an earthy faint sourness. This is really quite nice, and while it doesn’t exactly nail the style, its a really pleasant, well executed interpretation.
