COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complex flavors and aromas come from a variety of sources. Barley malt and wheat help create a smooth body and attribute a pleasant golden hue while the addition of malted rye and oats brings out a solid earthy flavor. Czech Saaz Hops help create a citrus nose. What makes this beer truly special is the Saison Ale yeast strain used to ferment this beer. The subtle hints of tangerine, peach and licorice are the hallmarks of this particular yeast.

Bottle - ruby red, a fruity nose and apricot flavor. Yeasty and farmhouse-like but not what I would consider to be a good saison.

fresh citrus, slightly rustic smell. Nice light golden amber color. Orange, citrus, possibly vanilla taste. fairly smooth finish.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy amber with off white head. A little too much carbonation. Aroma is caramel, honey, spices, grains. Taste is moderate to heavily sweet with mild to no bitterness. Not very well balanced. Flavors of caramel, toffee, honey, syrup, spices, earthy notes. Not much of the belgian yeast flavor and too sweet. Below average for style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle poured in a shaker. Pours slightly cloudy ruby. Very malty with an odd juiciness and strangely lacking in spice. Not bad but a little too weird to really recommend.

12 ounce bottle as shown. On that topic, I love the bottle design. Its a sort of joke, or a sad, dual personality flop. On the one hand, theres a bland label, something that may get produced from the Microsoft "Beer Label Making Wizard," if there were such a thing. On the other hand, theres a name thats starved for attention. "Booyah," set it down with a *thud*. So which personality will the beer itself have? Thee label or the name? Unfortunately, the beer matches the personality of the lame label design. Its bubbly, run-of-the mill, fruit and citrus flavored saison. Subtle fruit aroma, orange color. Its easy drinking, but nothing to recommend to others.

Great looking beer. Smells fruity and tart. This beer has a bunch of complex fruit flavors and spices, clove and stuff. A little dirty but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle as part of a variety pack. Orange brown color with a very slight haze and a creamy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with a hint of sugars. Flavor is more spice with a yeasty bite and a bit of creamy malt to smooth it out at the end. Light-medium bodied with a smooth palate. I dont normally like farmhouse ales but this one goes down pretty nice.

Draft at the MKE Ale House. Orange-copper color with thin off-white head and minimal lacing. Fruit and yeast aroma. Fruit and yeast upfront. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2013 Lots of different aromas (spruce and pepper) and tastes (bitter and sour) going on here. Nothing overwhelmingly successful, but in MKE you always appreciate the effort!
