COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, orange hued ale. A variety of toasted and caramel malts create a nice backdrop to the aggressive citrus and floral hop notes. Brewed with three different kinds of hops, this IPA is balanced by the oats added to the mash. The oats not only add an unexpected sweetness, but also a heavier mouthfeel.

Mildly hazy orange with a thin foamy head, abundant lacing and very little carbonation. Aroma of citrus hops, caramel malts, and mild floral hops. Flavor is more of the resin side with some grapefruit and citrus hop notes, subtle floral hops and caramel. Heavy body with some mild carbonation. Pretty good.

Poured from can. Not overly impressed here, the hop profile is aggressive whilst forgetting to hold together the backbone with any discernible balancing notes.

Pours dark copper. Lots of head. Citrus hops and tons of caramel malt sweetness. Not great.

Very drinkable IPA. Nothing special, not too hoppy or bitter for being an IPA. Would drink again though.

High sweetness, lacking in hops. Not too impressed with this one. Just OK.

Pours a copper-gold with massive head (almost too much so). Aroma is of grass, grain, malt--where are the hops? Flavor is very grassy, with malt and very little in the way of hops--none of the characteristic citrus or piney bitterness. A disappointment.

Bottle at MoJo’s restaurant in Elkhorn....pours a bright orange with thin head. Bitter not really hoppy nose or taste. Mediocre IPA....

Can. Pours amber brown with creamy off-white head. Nose is light but pleasant - mild fruitiness and just a bit of floral hops. Flavor is lightly sweet, bready maltiness followed by a good dose of lasting bitterness and some hop resin aftertaste. I think I see what MKE was going for here - a strong bitter beer - and it drinks like a strong pale ale or perhaps a burton ale, and would be quite good for an American strong ale but doesn’t hold up against the style profile for most IPAs adopted by U.S. brewers at this moment.

March 6, 2014 - bottle at Iron Horse. Copper pour with nice head that lasted. Aroma and taste of piney hops and malt. Nicely balanced with clean finish.

Bottle pour copper. Nose dank hop and earthy malt. Some metallic. Taste also dank and earthy, some bitter early. Noir all that appetizing.
