COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, orange hued ale. A variety of toasted and caramel malts create a nice backdrop to the aggressive citrus and floral hop notes. Brewed with three different kinds of hops, this IPA is balanced by the oats added to the mash. The oats not only add an unexpected sweetness, but also a heavier mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Citrus stands out but otherwise a basic, slightly above average IPA. Its very drinkable and friendly to the average beer drinker.

Orange-red pour with a light beige head. Aroma is pine hops. Taste is a weaker hop flavor that seems to be more of a pale ale to me. More malty than hops. OK lacing.

Golden pour with a white head. It has a herbal hop aroma. The taste is bitter with lively carbonation and faint touch of butterscotch.

On tap at the Milwaukee Ale House. This was definitely the best of my visit there. A little on the thin side in the body, but a solid version of the style.

12v oz bottle. Pours deep golden with a small white head. Aroma is sweet fruity hops. a bit citric and a strong caramel malt sweetness. Flavor is much the same, though the caramel sweetness is even stronger. Still some sweet citric hoppiness and a lightly bitter finish. Medium body and a sharp carbonation.

Draft. Pours a copper orange color with a light tan head. Slight hop aroma but nothing extreme. Medium mouthfeel. Caramel seed upfront with a hoppy presence in the end. Hoops don’t "bite" but rather are a slow build in the end. It’s ok, nothing special. Some lace. A bit soap flavor.

12 oz bottle pours a hazy amber color with a fluffy white head and some lacing. Arome is simply floral hops and caramel malts, but not strong. Flavor is more malty than hoppy, but has a dry finish. Medium body with just the right amount of carbonation. Easy to drink, but not very memorable.

16oz can at Miller Park. Pours a dark amber color with a tan head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, pine, a little bready malt. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, caramel, some bitter pine hops, with a light bitter finish. A nice beer, but an underwhelming IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear copper with some white head. Nose and taste is pine with some malt sweetness. Okay.

kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - MAR 14, 2010
Bottle, purchased at the pub. Pours a hazy copper amber with noticeable effervescence. Head is thin, off-white and leaves thing lines and dots of laing. Aroma is rich, spicy with some hints of orange citrus. Flavor is soapy, citrus with some pine. Finishes spicily bitter. Medium bodied with a moderate lingering bitterness.
