COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, orange hued ale. A variety of toasted and caramel malts create a nice backdrop to the aggressive citrus and floral hop notes. Brewed with three different kinds of hops, this IPA is balanced by the oats added to the mash. The oats not only add an unexpected sweetness, but also a heavier mouthfeel.

Draft. From notes. Grass and grains, slightly earthy hops. Slightly bitter taste. Meh, it’s ok.

From Bottle. Pours an amber/orange hue with a light beige head. Aroma of caramel, candied apple, orange, slight apricot, earthy tones, and resin. Taste of malt sweetness, grapefruit, honey, pine. Bitter dry finish that sticks around for a while. Then turns citrus and sticks around for a little. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, not bad for a malty IPA, but easily forgettable and can think of at least 20 other IPAs I would rather drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle. Deep golden with one finger head. Generic IPA. Medium body with moderate hops. Average flavor and bitterness. I’ve had a lot worse, but this has no uniqueness at all.

Orange-red pour with a light beige head. Aroma is pine hops. Taste is a weaker hop flavor that seems to be more of a pale ale to me. More malty than hops. OK lacing.

I’m surprised at the rating so far for this one, because I don’t think it’s quite that bad. It’s certainly not a particularly good beer, but it’s not a bad one either. As an IPA it misses the mark of the style, but it’s still quite drinkable. Lots of caramel malty sweetness, with a tiny hint of citrus hops and mild bitterness. I do get a tiny hint of that metallic taste others have noted also. I wouldn’t buy it again, but it’s not terrible.

Murky amber with a thin off-white head and flame lacing. Aroma of citrus, caramel and floral hops. Flavor comes across too vegetal with floral hops and mild caramel, some orange as well. A little too sweet and not as aggressive as most pale ales. It’s okay.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2012 It sure is an IPA, but I don’t know what else to say about it. Maybe more malt flavor than most, and a nice transition to the hops.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Citrus stands out but otherwise a basic, slightly above average IPA. Its very drinkable and friendly to the average beer drinker.

On tap @ Milwaukee Ale House, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Nice amber hue. Aroma of hops is second only to the palate punch you get from the bitterness. WOW! This is one spicy meatball! Hopped to the max. Not a slammer. One has to sip this. If you’re looking for a sweet tasting light beer, this aint it!
