COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship brand; this medium bodied amber ale starts with a rich malt flourish that’s kept in perfect balance by a smooth hop finish. This MKE original is similar to a German style alt beer.

Fresh, fruity aroma. Typical amber aroma. Reddish, brown body. Thin white head. Clear body. No lace. No visible carbaontion. Basic, roasted malt flavor that is dominated by malt. A little thin, mostly malty with some sweetness. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. Session possibilities.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2010 12oz bottle. Tasted 7/28/07. Dark amber. Nice hue. Minimal head. Rye and bready aromas. Mildly figgy. Medium bodied with moderate malts and dry hops. Nice medium roast. Sticky with a cola ish effervescence. Good and sticky. RE-RATE...Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Mildly hazy with a thick ring of light khaki head. Great toasty aromas! Great nose! Mild caramel, toast and burnt sugar. Medium bodied with, once again, a fantastic flavor for an amber ale. Malt dominant with nicely roasted malts. Sticky finish mixed with an astringent bitter zest. Very nice indeed!

12 oz bottle pours clear amber with a white head. About as low-key as a beer gets. No real flaws. Clean and crisp. Just not a whole lot going on.

Pretty good for an amber, (not usually my go to).. Pours cloudy brown.. Some weird fruit aroma.. Taste is sugar, eggplant, and who knows, but its diffrent and pretty good in my book..kinda suprised i liked it, not a huge amber fan

On draft at the Milwaukee Public Market on a Sunday morning. Amber color. Sweet grainy malts. Simple nose and flavor. Ok. 6/3/6/3/12

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2004 This is a descent brew. It’s very smooth and even sweet, almost syrupy, dare I say. Has nice medium brown undertones when it first hits your tongue, but then it livens up to its amber ale status. Since it’s the Milwaukee Ale House’s best seller, you’d be doing a disservice by not trying it, but after you’ve had your preview, switch over to the Pull Chain brew. It’s very similar, just more malt and hops and less sweet.

Pours a nice amber body with a large head. Nice retention that brings back the froth again and again. Caramel, and fruit in the aroma and flavors of caramel as well. A pretty tastey brew, but a little too malty.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 An exceptional beer. I usually find Amber Ales a bit bland/boring but this is so flavorful and pretty well balanced. Leans to the sweet side. Bit of bitter. extremely delicious. Pretty original.

On tap @ the brewpub: Pours brown with an off white head. Aroma, caramel, some roasted notes, earthy. Flavor, caramel, and earthy notes, some fruits. Solid beer.
