Pours bubbly, frothy white head with deep copper body. Decent caramel aroma with a little skunky hop. Flavor is mostly sweet, caramel malt with light dry hop aftertaste. Some plastic. Medium body. Okay stuff. Frank (4225) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 3, 2012
American ambers tend to either be slightly darker versions of APA or beers that try to pass off lack of hops as maltiness. This is neither of those; it is a legitimately big and malt beer--and I like it. Nose is mile, just a touch fruity but a hint of earth. It’s a bit on the sweetside but that sweetness is expressed in the form of intense, almost exaggerated maltiness. The carbonation is perhaps a touch too strong for its full and slightly sticky texture but that is a small complaint. This is a nice change of pace from typical American offerings. akoeninger (770) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2013
Amber colored. Aroma of grain and malt. A nice malty, bready amber. Not too sweet not too bitter. Drinkable a god stand by.

On tap at the Milwaukee Ale House. Clean amber pour. Clean flavors. Malty with a creamy body. Nice. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 15, 2015
[Bottle] Amber colored pour with little head. Aroma is of dusty malts, caramel malts and a light roast. Sticky caramel, brown sugar, crisp hops and a bit of nut in the flavor. Light carbonation. Creamier than their other beers. Nothing crazy in the flavor department, but the texture and body is pleasant.

A good ale, with a decent, drinkable flavor. Didn't have a glass so hard to rate head and cooler very well.

Good looking beer. The body’s a deep amber with ruby highlights and it sports a thick & creamy khaki head. The aroma contains fruity, juicy malts with some fresh toast. Caramel and more fruits are present in the flavor along with a mild spiciness. A touch of earthy bitterness mellows the drink out, making it a decent, sessionable ale.lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 7, 2009
