Aroma is malts, yeast and a hint of spice. The flavor is mild malt sweetness, a hint of spice and fruit and a smooth finish.

Bottle at the Casanova Beer Cave festival. Light gold pour with a foamy white head. Grain, earth, and a light hoppy finish. Just okay.

This is a nice malt-accented lager that drinks nicely w/o being too sweet. It’s a golden orange color veering on yellow w/ a small head of mixed bubbles. Nose and flavor both are of a sort of exaggerated nutty malt character. It’s actually kind remarkable how strongly this comes through in a lighter beer. There’s a touch of sweetness here w/ just a hint of bitterness from the hops. This is an interesting take on the style. I would normally expect it to be a bit darker in color and not quite so malty but this is good too.

12 oz bottle. Pours light golden with a small white head. Aroma is malty, crackers and some doughiness with notes of honey and a crisp herbal hop note. Flavor is much the same, lots of caramel sweetness, doughy, some cookie and bread, with a lightly hoppy finish. Medium body and a crisp carbonation. Pretty good beer for the style.

Very ’safe’ tasting. Will not blow your mind nor disappoint you. Light in color as it should be.

Better than most american tries at the style, but still not quite there, had it a while ago.

Bottle - Pours clear gold with a big foamy white head. Nose is light herbal, earthy hops, mixing with some lightly toasted grain and a dab of honey. Taste is the same, with a bit more sweetness. Grain lasts through the finish, with a touch of spicy hoppiness and hint of alcohol sharpness. Decent heft in the body, with ample carbonation and a bit of slickness. Real nice beer.

Bottle at the brewery. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that lasts through out the beer. Aroma has a nice hay and grain note with a hint of backing grassy notes. Flavor has a bit more earthy grass upfront with notes of hay that are joined by grains in the finish.

dekester1 (366) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Poured a dark gold with a slightly reddish hue. Initially held a nice medium sized head that faded slowly to lacing, Aroma was of sweet malts with a fruity hop hint. Taste was initially of sweet malt followed by a slightly nutty middle, and the finish with light to moderate hop finish. Palate was nice but not exceptional. Overall, a nice blonde lager.

Pours a clear copper with enough white head and a sour aroma. Typical of a lager. Meh. I am thinking I don’t like lagers much. Flavor is sour and palate is apple acid. I don’t think I like lagers much at all.
