A rich, dark, bitter beer full of flavor. I enjoyed this on a condo deck of the Milwaukee River. A classic. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 21, 2011
On tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Poured deep brown with a well-retained, sticky, creamy, dark beige head. The aroma picked up sweet milk chocolates and coffee with moderate roast to ‘em.. lovely 2nd wave of dark sugars.. great stuff! The flavor held serve.. sweet, roasty coffee throughout, paired with fresh earthy bitterness.. roast and husky malt sourness stuck on the long, warm, tasty finish.. everything worked well together. Medium-bodied and quite dry on the palate.. well-balanced with a smooth flow through the mouth.. I need more of this.XmnwildX12 (2079) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - APR 29, 2012

Bottled. Poured deeper brown with a short cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sweet lactose notes and milk chocolate, giving a sweet cake-like impression.. nothing not to like here. The flavor found sweet milk chocolate and lesser dulce de leche.. a touch of cocoa and creme brulee on the edges.. sweet finish with a lot of tasty residual sugar. Medium-bodied at most on the palate.. a bit scratchy at times.. didn’t feel great, but it was tasty beyond that.
Had this beer at the 4th Annual Casanova Beer Cave Festival. Awesome chocolate coffee scent, outburst of coffee flavors. erin1205 (9) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 24, 2012 does not count

A Sweet Stout that isn’t very smooth. It has a sharpness to the carbonation that forces me to downgrade just a little. shrubber85 (11322) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 12, 2015
Bottle. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and hay aroma. Black with small head. Sweet milk chocolate, coffee, roasted barley malt, and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body. Very pleasant. jebert (500) - Watertown, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Pours ebony black with a thick frothy light brown head. Aroma is malt and coffee. Nice viscosity and creaminess. Taste is dark roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a slight yeasty sourdough bread taste at the finish. No hops evident. Very smooth and flavorful. Stands up well with chili and crackers. weitz15 (579) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 23, 2014
Dark brown pour. Aroma is full of Rich, roasted malts. Flavor is a healthy mix of coffee, malts, faint chocolate and very faint hop undertones. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 21, 2012
Draft at Milwaukee Brewing. Pours a deep brown/black with a tan head. Nose is moderately sweet, caramel and roast. Light coffee notes and cocoa as well. On tasting, light sweetness accentuating the body, medium full. More of the cocoa, faint lactose and roasty malts. drying finish overall. Clean and really quite nice.
