COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Pull Chain Pale Ale is a fusion of English and American pale ale styles, with bitterness derived for an unusual and innovative hop schedule in the recipe. American cascade hops and British East Kent Goldings account for Pull Chain’s citrus and earthy flavors and aromas. They’re softened by malty undertones.

ThirstyBird (2949) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2015
On tap at their Grafton location, pours a clear gold color with a tan head. The smell is citrus and toasted grain. The taste is a balanced toasted grain sweetness and citrus ending with some dryness and bitterness. Light+ in body with average carbonation. Decent.

[Bottle] Dirty golden pour with lots of fizzy carbonation. Not much head or lacing. Nose is of stale hops, grass and lighter herbal notes. Grainy flavors mix with astringent hoppiness. Caramel, light grass and some earthy notes in the taste as well. Thin body. Herbal and harsh bitterness comes through as it warms.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a clear orange amber with slighty off white head. Aroma is pretty sweet with caramel and biscuit notes. A hint of citrus and a little medicinal note. Taste is moderately sweet with a mild bitterness. A little too unbalanced. Caramel, toffee, biscuits, earthy flavors. Below average to average pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

deekyn (1459) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 26, 2014
Simple copper pour with sticky white lacing. It has a nose of crackery malts, feet, and citrusy hops. Medium heavy body with a pretty aggressive palate. The taste is vegetal and bitter with a metallic tang. Muddled citrus zest and juice with vegetal malts. Bitter and not particularly developed.

A solid pale ale with offers a nice melding of American and British hops that make it something different from yet another pale ale. Taste is citrus and earthy with some good toasted malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huhzubendah (3709) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 16, 2014
On draft at Milwaukee Ale House. The beer is golden hued with a small white head. The aroma offers biscuit malt, citrus, hops. A straightforward brew, in the "balanced" style of pale ales. Bready malts and hops with just a hint of alcohol. Easy drinking with moderate carbonation. Average...

Dirty golden brown, light tan head. Musty, stale earthy. Slight honey. Bitter, some sweetness. Lighter body, watery. Quite acidic. Meh.

sawbuck (743) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - AUG 12, 2014
Surprising aroma of caramel and sweet bread. Mild notes of hops. Orang amber in color...decent tan head. Sweet malt up front, slightly rich. Caramel is light also, then an average bitterness creeps in. Some notes of citrus in there, but faint. Finishes with a harsh bitterness, somewhat balanced with sweetness. O.k. but nothing special.

Draft at the brewpub. From notes. Citrus and floral hops with a grainy finish. Meh, drinkable but not too special.
