This is an awesome amber. I love the blueberry flavor. It has an amber/blueish hue. solid fruit aroma. Doesn’t come off too sweet like some fruit beers. One of my favorite summer beers last year. muzzlehatch (4950) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 26, 2016
Draught pint at Lucy’s #7 in Beloit, WI, August 25th. Probably not a lot of other Ratebeerians who get excited - or even mildly interested - when they see a new fruit beer. I’m not sure "excited" is the right appellation for my feelings either - but I grew up (craft-beer-wise that is) on New Glarus, and living again in the state where it’s brewed, I do always have the hopes that new fruit beers - particularly from Wisconsin brewers - might come close to measuring up. Well...it pours a transparent copper with a bit of lasting creamy foam...there’s a strong, reasonably fresh sweet blueberry element in the nose that completely overpowers everything else for a while; some minutes into it I can detect a bit of other herbal characteristic, though I’d be hard-pressed to name it "tea"...tart fruitiness carries through the tasting, pretty dry overall, just a hint of malt...bitter, lightly cardboard finish; somewhat thin and watery. Yeah, this doesn’t measure up. Better luck next time. twindadplus2 (709) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 26, 2016
Purplish amber color with a bright white head. Lots of blueberry sweetness in the aroma plus a bit of malt. Flavor is a lightly tart bitterness up front followed by juicy hit of blueberry and light creamy malt. Moderate carbonation and medium bodied with a dry, berry finish.
I don’t normally care for fruit beers but this one is put together very welll arkurzynski (2406) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 8, 2016
Red brown. Nose of fresh blueberries. Flavor is light blueberry with an herbal bitterness and mild toasted malt. The bitterness outshines the other flavors a bit, but good. seuinoz (255) - Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA - OCT 6, 2015
Smells like blueberries. Color is dark amber quickly dissipating head. Very nice lacing with this beer. Will get again for sure.

Nose is all malt and blueberries...mouth is all blueberries...different but fairly enjoyable..(#545).... BVery (10312) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - APR 5, 2015
Bottle - MKE labeled. Fairly clear amber pour with a small soapy head. Nice blueberry in the aroma. Tea comes out and makes this a bit dryer and not too sweet. Pretty nice brew. GranvilleTim (1855) - Granville, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2015
Golden amber pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is blueberry candy. Taste is light blueberry flavor, malt base, crisp, ok beer. So-so lacing. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Pours a nice amber color with off-white head. Blueberries, hop resin, just a hint of caramel malt, and some resin on the nose; follows onto the palate. I must have gotten a nice fresh one, really good. Frank (4172) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 18, 2014
This beer initially smells like a Hostess blueberry pie but wanes to a relatively normal beer pretty fast. It is not exactly the best thing I’ve ever tasted but it is not as cloying as it first smells. It pours a brownish orange color w/ a small head of fine, white bubbles. The nose is initially saturated w/ an exaggerated blueberry flavor but that is thankfully short-lived. After that, it just becomes a fairly bland amber ale w/ just a touch of toasty malt character and earthy hops. It is medium bodied and moderately carbonated but still comes off a little heavy for the gravity. There are no real off-notes unless you count extreme blueberry as an off-flavor but that is about all this has going for it.
