Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is burnt biscuit and coffee. Flavor is burnt toast and coffee, with a smooth, creamy feel. Nice. SDalkoholic (2393) - Linda Vista, California, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Bottle from Fresh and Easy: Appeared a dark brownish tinted black liquid topped with a decent formation of foam head. What really surprised me about this stout was the aroma, it has so much character because of the rich dark malts used that bring about scents of fresh ground coffee bean and hints of chocolate. The flavor is less promising than my nose had led me to believe but it still does hold a mild blend of coffee bean while also allowing for a roasty flavor and a taste of sweetness as if I had added a shot of cream to my pint glass. The balance of the flavors is somewhat off but for only $2 for a bomber size bottle, I feel I shouldn’t be complaining or have such high expectations. 22 oz bomber The stout pours dark brown in color with a rather sizable tan head. The head dissapated but a thin layer stayed with the beverage. Some lacing the aroma was of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. The roasted malt and cocoa are the most dominant flavors. The body was medium wih a soft carbonation. This is a purchase from Trader Joe’s. Not bad for an evening of stout drinking.

Tasting. Dark brown with slight tan head. Malty, slight chocolate. Watery, uninteresting. JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle shared by a friend at the 5th Annual Coldest Day of the Year Stout Tasting on 1/26/13. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Grainy malt nose with some chocolate. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some butter character in the finish. I think there’s a reason this one is priced so low.

Scent is cocoa powder, malt.
Taste is creamy chocolate, subtle coffee, slight roast....
Very slight chocolate bitter..

Pours a black brew with a médium sized brown head with poor retention, aroma is moderate sweet and moderate to low bitter with notes of chocolate, coffe, caramel and roasted malts, médium bodied, flavor is moderate to low sweet and moderate bitter with notes of coffe, roasted malt, chocolate and some hop bitterness, bitter finish. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Bottle. Pours a thick near-black color with a huge tan head on it. Taste is actually a little bit dry - almost like a dry stout. Has some roasting in there, but not bad. Not a lot of substance to this.
