Rather thin in body although it does have a decent maltiness. Kind of bland but passable.

Bottle from the Minhas brewery gift shop in Monroe, WI. Dark brown pour with a thin cream colored head. Aroma is sweet malt and slightly roasty. Thin watery palate. Taste is that of cold coffee (stole that comparison from a prior rater - I like the comparison), with a touch of sweet malt. Pretty much a right down the middle beer - nothing exceptional, but not too bad either. Probably the best thing I’ve had from Minhas to date.

An oversimplistic bock that heads for the sweet, malty tones with not a lot else to offer. Actually tastes more like a root beer than a beer.

This beer pours a translucent brown color with a thin off white head. The aroma is sweet, very malty with a hint of alcohol. The flavor is much the sane as the aroma. A pretty good beer, but I’d have to be in the right mood for a lighter, sweeter bock.

Bottle. Best of the worst???? Maybe. Aromas of stale coffee, not grinds but coffee that sits in a cup over night. Some chocolate if you really dig. Almond/walnut that is way too sweet. Taste is almost not there. Thin and watery, very bland.

Tastes like a cheap macro american porter, not sure how they consider this a bock

Attractive beer...very dark brown, thick foamy brown head, bubbly carbonation. Sweet malt on the nose. Taste: Sweeter than I was expecting. Notes of brown sugar, milk chocolate, caramel, toffee and some mellow roasted malt. Appearance, taste and aroma get very high marks for me...palate on the other hand is where this loses points. This starts off so promising but then seems to fade. Body is too thin and not enough bittering hops. Seems a little unbalanced. Overall though, I’m pretty satisfied with this and I think the ratings for this are a tad too low.

This one really throws me off. Amber color with a tan head. The typical roasted malt aromas are present but this brew also has hints of chocolate and cherries. The flavor is where it really gets interesting. It has the light toffee taste you’d expect from a bock but it’s overpowered by what I can only describe as a cherry cola flavor and it makes for a unique after taste. Overall this brew is surprisingly sweet and not your typical bock.

I love the smell and appearance, but the taste falls a bit short and the aftertaste does not appeal to me.

Poured from bottle, pours a nice dark brown color with thin tan head, aroma is of roasted malt and taste is of malt and a slight hint of hops to it, overall this isn’t terrible but isn’t good.
