UPDATED: MAY 26, 2013 Bottle share from Ryan, dark cola pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, grain, and nuts. Taste is grain, caramel sweetness, decent malt, quite light body.

The initial taste comes on really strong, much more than you expect from the aroma. There is a lot of malt flavour and it leave a bit of bitterness in your mouth. After the bitterness clears you get the coffee and sweetness of the flavours. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Poured from bottle, pours a nice dark brown color with thin tan head, aroma is of roasted malt and taste is of malt and a slight hint of hops to it, overall this isn’t terrible but isn’t good. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 1, 2011
Bottle from the Minhas brewery gift shop in Monroe, WI. Dark brown pour with a thin cream colored head. Aroma is sweet malt and slightly roasty. Thin watery palate. Taste is that of cold coffee (stole that comparison from a prior rater - I like the comparison), with a touch of sweet malt. Pretty much a right down the middle beer - nothing exceptional, but not too bad either. Probably the best thing I’ve had from Minhas to date. Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 24, 2013
Pours a clear brown color with an off-white head that doesn’t last long. Aroma is a strong sweet malts with caramel, toasty overtone and no hops present. Taste is a simple malt flavor and lots of caramel, too much artificial sweetness. Overall it’s drinkable but too sweet.

A middling dark lager, stale/stemmy hop flavor next to a weak, orphaned roast malt. Meh. Nice malty aroma though. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2009
Found this one bottled in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Clear, medium brown pour with a fizzy tan head, cerealy malty taste with a sour finish. Not too impressive. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Pours a deep brownish amber color with a good medium head that shows a nice retention. The aroma is lightly buttery and mildly reminiscent of coffee to some degree. The flavor is a little tart and nutty with a light roastiness and overall it’s pretty bland. EHopper (620) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2009
Tasted at Beer Dabbler event in St. Paul. Not worth saying too much about. Kind of a sour, thin bock. unclemike (3124) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - APR 30, 2012
Color fairly attractive with advertised rouge tones--fizzy macro head. Flavor slightly sweet, slightly tangy, not bad but overpowered by excessive carbonation, which ruins any reasonable mouthfeel it might have otherwise had. Very mediocre macro effort
