It tasted to me like a brown ale, very nice and sweet in tatse. NIce foam although not so high features after a while. mzaar (3642) - Varberg, SWEDEN - FEB 14, 2013
Slightly alcoholic and slightly malt. Smooth Good balance thin head light brown color Skyview (6099) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - AUG 10, 2008
Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates nearly clean with a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some fruity character of hard pitted fruits, pears and a touch of apple. Taste is light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, some fruity pears and citrus zest. Finish is a tad watery with a pear and caramel aftertaste and a mild bitterness. twindadplus2 (736) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 15, 2008
Bottle. Reddish amber with a very thin head. Dry, fruity aroma with a touch of malt. Taste is lightly malty up front with a zesty citrus backbone. Tingly carbonation with a body on the low end of medium. Crisp, dry lightly bitter finish. An average beer but it will do in a pinch.

Pours a clear amber with little white head. Smells a bit of butter and alcohol. Taste is similiar, but a bit more harsh. Ratman197 (15350) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish. Lemke10 (995) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 23, 2013
I took a tour of the Minhas Craft brewery in Monroe, WI in late Summer 2010. As a parting gift for taking the tour they gave away free bottles of beer and Swiss Amber was one of them.
Swiss Amber pours a dark golden color. It drinks with a heavy taste like a good beer but swallows like cheap beer. Very little after taste. Something new to try but probably not a regular purchase.

Bottle. Yep .. it’s amber all right. Fizzy. Super malty. Bit of a fruity flourish, but moderate and middle of the road all the way. Clean and made without imperfection, but neither outstanding in any way. (#5164, 7/6/2013)
