Pours an amber orange with thick off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma of herbal and citrus hops, strong toasted malt backbone, slight nutty character, caramel, and very slight bread. Flavor matches well and you can definitely count me in the pleasantly surprised category. For less than $2, this would be hard to beat.

Can. Boatswain Heavy Lifting Vessel version of this beer. Light brown with a two finger head. Aroma and taste is way too boozy.

Aroma is malts, fruit and relatively mild Minhas funk. The flavor is malts, fruit/berries, slightly grainy texture and a mix of tart/sour and slight Minhas funk in the finish.

Bottle (Rhinelander Brewing Company). Pours hazy brown with tan head. Bread crust aroma with toffee notes. Bread crust with some sour plum notes followed by more sour dried fruit--primarily raisins--in the finish. A bit unusual. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had traders joes version at a party. Kind of generic cardboardy brown. It was drinkable, but just barely.
