Bottle ("Pecatonica Oktoberfest"). Pours dark amber with thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Bread crust aroma with some caramel notes. Sweet bread crust malt with caramel. Sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught pint at Fib’s North in Brodhead, Wisconsin, October 2nd, as "Pecatonica Oktoberfest". Dark amber with little head, even when swirled...sweet brown sugar and toasty notes on the nose, a touch of oregano, pretty solid and expected for what it is...alas it falls apart in the mouth, being overly - almost aggressively sweet at the front, and quickly fading into a very dry and bitter metallic/mineralic finish - rust on limestone...watery body, slightly high carbonation level. If I’d known at the time that this was brewed at Minhas...ah well, they didn’t have a great tap selection to begin with.

Aroma wasn’t too bad I could smell some toasted malt and so I thought this and possibilities. Flavor’s just massively sweet.

Ruby red with a thin, light tan head. sweet aroma with a bit of orange and banana. Watery malt taste with a hint of bitterness. Not all that impressive.

Frank (4208) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Had this as Rhinelander. It is is strikingly tolerable for a Minhas brew, which is different than being really good. It’s clear orange w/ a foamy head. It’s got earthy hops and is kinda grassy. It does have a nice light texture. It’s a bit sweet and unfinished w/ some odd yeasty notes as well. For all that’s wrong w/ it, it is tolerably drinkable though.

Orange and sweet taste. Draft pour at Lena brewing company. Orange and vanilla flavors. Pretty interesting beer

MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUN 13, 2015
Poured from 12 oz. bottle labeled "Pecatonica Oktoberfest" (but aliased to Minhas Oktoberfest in Ratebeer). Clear, dark coppery orange with an off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, light toast and a hint of orange. Taste of biscuit, sweet caramel, allspice and again, just a hint of orange. Malty and overly sweet for an Oktoberfest. The flavor deteriorates as it warms. Eventually a little tartness shows up. Medium body and medium carbonation. The brewer should toss out this recipe. Surely, a commercial brewer could produce a much better Oktoberfest with a modicum of effort. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

OMG, please save your time and money. The beer is horrible. It’s cheap for a reason. No quality. ALL THE BEER is watery dish-water. Sure, one can buy this from Trader Joe’s for a low price, but really, what you get is nothing on par to quality. I’d rather put the extra money towards a pint or six pack of something more proven and worthwhile. This beer is made cheap for a reason and its to sell out. The owners, both non brew-masters by the way, just some trust fund rich kids, are slinging this dishwater to steal your money. I mean go on the website, it shows the guy walking out of his Escalade SUV and the interviews with him and the sister "co-owner" show the trust fund babies they are...both siblings are narcissistic and ridiculous. I would give this a zero rating if I could. I really am not a troll, I speak from the heart...Oktoberfest 2013 - Present??? WTF?? how about just end it man, so poser beyond poser of beer. I’d rather have a sam adams. my word this beer is horrible.

Underwhelming. Watery. Finish was unpleasant. Not a good effort. Bottled as pecatonica. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at my brothers. Pours a deep amber/copper wit white head. Nose is toast and biscuits, mild herbal noble hop aromas. On taste, more of the bready toast notes. Minimal hopping. Decent Oktoberfest.
