Bottle thanks to davinci. Clear dark amber with small white head. Aroma is slightly grainy with almost dry caramel. Flavor is sweeter grain, a little banana, some corn. Light body with active carbonation. Sessionable but way grainy. Saarlander (1920) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - JUL 10, 2009
Golden pour, very slight head. Not much of a pils taste, reminds me of a helles, needs more hops, nothing "Bad" about it, some grass flavor, Malt, easy to drink, ok, but just needs to be hopped more. awaisanen (1310) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 27, 2009
From a 12oz Bottle. Crystal clear, bright gold colored body with a quickly dissipating head of fizzy white. Mostly clean, malty aroma with a moderate level of green raisin melanoidins and some faint pear. No hop aroma. Medium light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel with a somewhat soft, velvety texture. Slightly sweet, grainy flavors with hints of cookie dough and raisiny melanoidins. No hop flavor. Suggestions of toffee. Light enough bodied for a pils, but the complete and utter lack of a hop presence makes it taste too sweet. Nice malt flavor and melanoidin presence, but needs at least some hop presence. bb (9790) - Alamo, California, USA - JUN 13, 2009
Bottle. Golden beer with an off-white ehad. Hay and light honey/light malt aroma. Malt flavor with light honey/caramel and some grassiness. Medium bodied and easy drinking. Malt and grassiness lingers with a light sweetness. mctous (131) - Herndon, Virginia, USA - JUN 4, 2009
The aroma resembles a Dortmunder more than a Pilsner, but the pour produces plenty of off-white frothy head. The clear light amber color also suggests a Dortmunder. Some stale grain flavors detract from the decent but not distinctive flavor, which lacks hop presence. If compared to Budweiser, Simpler Times wins, but many American craft brewers produce better Pilsner.

Bought at Trader Joe’s in RPV. Nothing special but, not bad for its price. Cheap beer basically troopie (2497) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - MAY 27, 2009
Bottle. Poured pale golden yellow with thick white head. Faint grassy aroma, with a whiff of swimming pool. Rather thin flavour, a bietje mout, a little hop but not very much of either. Very mild bitter finish kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - APR 2, 2009

Source: Ticker Tasting
Appearance: clear pale gold, fine white head, streaks of lace
Aroma: light dry grain aroma, light floral hops
Flavor: sweet cereal flavor, nice light floral hops, touch of spicyness, light bitterness
Aroma: 4/10; Appearance: 6/10; Flavor: 4/10; Palate: 5/10; Overall: 7/20
Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a very thin, white head.
Smell: Vague herbal hop character conjoined with a tired malt and corn flake scent. Hmm. Very similar to its brother, the Simpler Times Lager, as if they were two sides of the same untasty coin.
Taste: It’s a cheap beer with a cheap taste. Cereal grains with a drizzle of sweet corn syrup. Vague herbal hops with just a touch of bitterness, though not quite enough to balance, leaving you with a somewhat sweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: Not recommended. Again, I’ll say it’s suspiciously similar to the Simpler Times lager. Even for a simple pilsner, it’s a below average, underperfomer. ganache (6089) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 26, 2009
Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Indy. Citric, lightly grassy, otherwise explosively cloying nose. A little chalk. Sickly golden body with plenty of cheap carbonation and a rocky, jiggly beige (almost yellow-tinged) head. Taste is very cloying, light grain and corn with low-levels of bitterness and malt flavor. Light-watery body and a little metal rearing up before the mild citric aftertaste. Bad but not punishingly bad.
