Overall this is an outstanding Beer, but @ $3.49 a six pack it blows the doors off all the hipster craft brews easily. akim (8) - Oregon, USA - MAR 28, 2011 does not count
Slighty sweet, hoppy, roasted corn smell. Pours yellow-gold with a decent head that quickly dissipates, leaving behind a fair amount of lacing. Tastes of sweet roasted corn, malt, medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy, fizzy.
*Forgot to add, this doesn’t have quite the bitterness that I normally associate with pilseners...at all! Still, a very drinkable brew at a great price. joet (2604) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - NOV 19, 2008
Pale yellow sparkling, viney heral aromas, sweet and light medium bodied, high medium effervescence. A lot better than expected. A sweeter bitter sweet balance than expected for the style. Nekronos (4175) - Xalapa, MEXICO - APR 14, 2016
Normal. Easy to drink and a little creamy. Nothing special but not annoying either in any aspect. jezmez68 (404) - Chesterton, Indiana, USA - AUG 12, 2009
Six pack of cans purchased for $3.99 at Trader Joe’s in August 09. Poured into a German tulip-shaped pilsner glass. Big, white head that is gone in aboutt 30-60 seconds. Smells of pears. I figure IBUs around 30-35. If you had all your beer drinking buddies over to sample PBR, Bud, Busch, Coors, and MGD, I’d bet you $2 and a half eaten bag of Doritos that this would edge them. Although, those are lagers, so I guess that’s to be expected.

Bottle from TJs. It’s a fizzy yellow beer. Sweet malty grainy and vanilla aroma and taste. corpsuckle (101) - Washington, USA - FEB 26, 2014
This is a fantastic pilsener for a fantastic price (at Trader Joes). I find this beer to have an interesting malt profile that adds to its quaffability. Great refreshing beer! bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Bottle from TJs. They’re selling these for $4.99 as sixpack. Pours clear gold with a thick and lacy white head .Medium body and carbonation. Biscuit and grass aroma. Sweet toffee and biscuit taste, seems a little corny? Crisp and somewhat floral hops finish. Comes down a bit on the sweet side of balance: not a fabulous pils, but not a bad one either. On price and packaging this looks like macro lager like something from Milwaukee...but I judge this to be a step and a half over the run-of-the-mill.
Not that this is actually a legitimate "pilsner" as labeled, but it’s like the lager version of a mini-APA. Up front you get citrusy-orange hops which seem very American to me. Malt flavors are subtle but sufficient, perhaps a little light crystal or simply an all-barley grist.
In summary this is my favorite example of macrobrew. Good for sports viewing, rock listening, and eating fried food. It’s what HighLife/PBR should have been. Tmoney99 (14381) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Bottle from Trader Joe’s - Cincinnati. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grass hop and malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Cheap and better of the two Simpler Times.
