Excellent stuff from Minoh here, again the brewery has delivered a very enjoyable offering & one that is easily the best of the four I've reviewed from them so far. Opening with an excellent combination of pine & citrus fruits alongside some resinous notes & touches of peach too, the beer is varied & very bitter with a lot going on & it's also one of the better Japanese beers that I tried on my recent trip. Well carbonated with a surprisingly full body & a smooth, dry feel that showed some sweetness further on, the beer is great from the start & one I'd definitely like to try again at some point.
Bottle. Golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, some caramel, light - some tropical fruitiness, light - some grapefruit/citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish- sweetish flavor, some caramel, light tropical fruitiness, light grapefruit/citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light - some caramel, light tropical fruitiness, some citrus - light grapefruit hoppyness. OK fruity APA but could be drier with less caramel. TimE (6494) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 19, 2017

Small white head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Watery tropical fruit aroma with caramelly notes. Dryish spicy tropical fruit taste with caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy wooden caramelly aftertaste with fruity notes. Nice, clean, drinkable, a little too light, perhaps. (0.35l bottle, nameless bar, Kanazawa.) mzaar (3907) - Varberg, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2017

Present from my friend Luis after a trip he made to Japan: thanks!
33 cl bottle served in red wine glass. Pours hazy bright amber. Off-white head is abundant, thick and good-lacing. Aroma is very intense: spruce, pine, cypress, resin, along with bitter citrus such as grapefruit, pomelo and kumquat. A nice hint of black tea is also present. Taste is dry, bold and refreshingly crisp. Finish is very -very bitter and long-lasting. Very nice indeed. Grumbo (5000) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2017

Tap at a ramen shop next to CBB.
Aroma: Orange, dried apricot, pine and cedar spiciness.
Flavor: Similar to the nose with pine and grassy hop. Good balance of malt and hop with a mediumi long finish. Served at the perfect temperature and in perfect condition. Best Pale Ale I’ve had from Minoh. Have they raised their game?
