I always find this beer at the supermarket by the Tokyo Dome Aqua. Lovely black with a deep russet head, aroma of caramel, chocolates, flavour of dark chocolates, soy sauce, a touch of vanilla, woody, and a good deal of salted caramel and not a touch of coffee. Nice, creamy, almost oily feel, this is super easy to drink and it has become my favourite Japanese stout., Tim Webb (470) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2015 Tasted at the brewery originally in 2010, from 33cl bottle and on draught, when I considered it close to Irish, dry-roasted, with slight lactate and moderate bitterness. Contrasting this with a bottle sampled in Singapore fire years later, there is more mellowness, more confidence, less edge and greater depth. I would recommend this to anyone. Tap @ Beer Belly: Dark black, tan head, light lacing. Nose of sweet roast and chocolate, bright coffee and vanilla. Creamy buttery shake and a chocolate chip cookie dough infused milk shot. The flavor is intense but smooth, like a chewy marshmallow creme brule. The finish is sweet and creamy. Yum! tania_nexust (239) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2013
On draught in Beer Belly Higobashi in 2011. A huge Espresso-like nose - bags of fresh ground coffee aroma, and a dry, roasted bitter full flavour. Have had this in bottle since (import to England) and it wasn’t quite as full-on. Was labelled on the beer board as Stout, but I see Minoh occasionally produce a Coffee Stout, so I’m wondering if it was actually a coffee version I was served. We went back for more the next night though so it was pretty good. johndoughty (5543) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2017
Bottle. Black with virtually no head.Slightly dry and rather malty.A very well balanced stout which was a pleasant surprise. A new brewery for me.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2009 Hand pump at Beer Belly Higobashi. Keeps getting rich and more flavorful. Smooth and rich, with more of the same flavors listed last time. Becoming a top quality stout. Previous rating: Aroma of roasted barley, dark chocolate and cafe au lait. Rich and creamy, decent coffee and chocolate flavors, well roasted. Very nice, smooth body on the handpump. Seems to be getting better every time I have it. 7/3/7/4/15
