Pours black with a mocha colored head. Aroma is roasted coffee beans, chocolate, grains. The taste is roasted coffee, high quality coffee with little sweetness, just short of black coffee mixed with a good porter, chocolatey, robust and grainy. Body and carbonation are medium, not bad. Perfect fall/winter seasonal. Pours with a deep black coloration, off brownish head. Heavy chocolate malt flavor, with a hint of coffee in the finish. Quality round mouth feel, will certainly keep you warm on a cold night. m2swim (15) - Idaho, USA - MAR 11, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 Poured from a tap at the brewery’s tasting room. Fantastic tan head that hangs on for a bit. Great chocolate flavor with some roasted malt flavors backing. Nicely hopped for a porter. Light body with a bit of hoppish finish. Good if you can get it.
