Bottle from VBS on 52. Pours crystal clear copper with huge caking head that reveals a lot of sweet tones, some butter cream and vanilla frosting scent over mild citrus hop undertones. Flavor is soft and balanced between malt smoothness and citrus hop bitterness. There are some much more ’rough’ tones coming through in the finish: dry earth, faint leather/smoke, astringency and slight wood. It’s a very laid back, smooth, melded style IPA that lacks a huge hop punch but packs plenty of flavor. And there is definitely plenty of head. misterbeer (313) - greenwood, Indiana, USA - MAR 24, 2010

12oz bottle, thanks CaptainCougar. Small off-white head atop dead-yeast-filled amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/floral, some caramel. Taste is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit, some earthy, tea, light bread/caramel. Medium body, some resin. Acknud (1081) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - AUG 15, 2009
Orange , tart, slinky citrus aroma. Taste is very hoppy with a good finish. gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - AUG 10, 2009
Found this one bottled at a liquor store in St. John, Indiana, as part of a mix 12 pack of various beers from Indiana brewers. Nice, hazy bright reddish brown pour, thick head, a great citrusy hoppy nose, a well-balanced flavor of citrusy and piney hops, citrus fruits, cherry. Sharp bitter finish. An excellent brew.

bottle. Pours an amber, with a big two finger head. Smells pretty good of citrus, some spruce, and some flowers. Malty flavor........rather too malty. Not balanced even a little bit. Rather bitter finish. Very rough around the edges. No good. Onslow (1481) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Hazy, copper colored pour form a 12 oz bottle. Thin head. Aroma of caramel, malt, citrus, floral hops. Nicely balanced malty flavor offset by smooth hoppiness. THe name made me expect and over the top exercise in sheer hoppiness, but this was rather a pleasant surprise – a somewhat sweet, full bodied IPA with pronounce but well balanced hops. Very good. 12oz bottle from shawnm213, thanks Shawn. Dark gold pour with a white head. Citrus aroma, a little grapefruit maybe.Big hop bite right up front, not very balanced at all, but still ok, the hop bite fades pretty quickly, as it went it on though I noticed it stuck to tongue with a faint hop flavor, very ineresting. Some bonus points for the bottle. Not a bad ipa. gotta try this on draft some day. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 23, 2009
I’m going to start this off real honest and say that this is not a beer for hop-heads. This looks great, orange decent lacing on the head but the smell? Something funny like butter..the taste was not really hoppy at all, buttery malts and I’m sure I sound like a jerk but this just wasn’t hoppy by any stretch of the imagination.
