hmm not sure about the genuineness of the ratings below... This is a competently put together amber ale with slightly more toasty maltiness than toffee - light body, fruity citric hop flavour, apologetic bitterness - clean but empty finish. pretty boring beer, not quenching enough to be a session ale, not rich enough to be satisfying as a winter warmer type.
On tap at Royal Albert Hotel, Surry Hills. Pours a copper red with good white head. Aroma: malt, copper, rye notes. Not particularly aromatic. Taste: rye, biscuity malt, toffee, citrus flavours. Full bodied. Low carbonation. Enough flavour to keep you interested, but nothing spectacular. KeefOz (1822) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - APR 5, 2017
Draught at Hoo Ha Bar, Southbank, Brisbane. Poured a hazy reddish-orange with a white dense foamy head that retained very well and laced very well. Carbonation moderate, average and coarse. Aroma of light pale malt and faint sweet citrus (orange, mandarin, maybe tangerine) and hints of dried fruits. Taste of slightly sweet citrus (orange, mandarin) and hints of dried fruit with low to moderate bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth with lots of fruity flavours on a short finish. Good. Aroma driven by malt, earthy. Quite hop-centric for a dark looking beer. Smoky on the back end. TedE (1304) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 16, 2016
Schooner on tap at K&B hotel. Dark fruit nose, red/orange beer with solid white head. Laces well. Lots of bubbles. Flat mouthfeel, oily texture. Finish is malty with a touch of smokiness. Solid quaffer, the type of beer you drink after work. danjs5 (221) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 13, 2016
Pours clear amber to ruby red. Sweet malty aroma with light refreshing feel. Slight citris flavours with pleasant malt rye taste throughout. Enjoyable.

Keg. Poured a clear bronzed amber with a small but lasting and lacing white to off-white head. Aromas of tangerine, citrus juice and pith and grassy hops. Similar to taste with some pale malt presence providing body and a gentle sweetness. Mid-weight, medium carbonation and a soft to moderate length and intensity finish. ngunity (166) - - SEP 17, 2015

Draught @ GABS 2015 MelLooks good - burnished copper, firm beige head.
Nice biscuity toffee toasted nutty malts, citrusy tropical fruit hops.
Full creamy body, bit chewy.
Good malt body, well balanced hop & bitterness.
Nicely done, good measure of malt vs hops. Samma (166) - Fitzroy, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2015
On taster at GABS in Melbourne: nice caramel notes on nose. Pours appropriately orangey red. Full bodied. Nicely balanced. Highly sessionable.
