Cask at The Linkery. Very smooth, fruity and delish. Aroma is slight strawberry, sweet hop, mild apple. Flavors of the same with nice fruity malts underneath. I think it’s great. bsierra (213) - Vista, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
On tap at the Karl Strauss reception for the CBC. Pours a beautiful deep amber hue with a clean malt nose. The flavor has a nice malt character with hints of caramel and is nicely balanced with just the right amount of hops. This was the crowd favorite at the K.S. event and we blew through a 13.2g. keg in less than 4 hours! TroyFoley (1) - - OCT 18, 2011 does not count
Great beer. Nice sweet start with a great hoppy finish. Really has a nice mouth feel. No head and little laceing is my only real complaint. Poured out of draft at tatoomoms. stevoj (5866) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 22, 2012
A good rendition of the Dusseldorf altbier style. Nice hoppy bitterness, thick fluffy head, orange/copper color. Pleasant sipper... dwyerpg (6494) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 5, 2013
This was pretty tasty. On the hoppy side up front. Pretty orange color. The flavor in the body is a bit on the sweet side but it’s pretty tasty.

draft. surprised this isn’t rating higher by people. I thought this was a well balanced smooth flavorfull amber. I’ll drink again someday. zoucrew102 (2235) - - JUL 30, 2016
Bomber, thanks Christina! Caramel malt aroma with notes of bready malt and nutty esters. Pours caramel colored with one finger of tan head that has excellent retention and some lacing. Starts with sweet caramel malt flavors with light bread notes. Finishes smooth with the caramel sweetness carrying throughout as well as a bit of nutty character as well. Really good amber even though it isn't one per se. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 7, 2008
On tap at PB Taproom. Dark amber with a big head when I repoured it into a pint. Nice mellow malts in the aroma. Flavor is toasty and plenty hoppy and dry. Maybe a bit too hippy for the style but pretty tasty.
