aroma: black roasted barley, soy sauce, raw mushrooms, port, char, nutty toasted or crystal malts, a bit of worcestershire, and a hint of black cherries.
taste: black malt, charred fruit, dark chocolate, some creamy sweetness (malto-dextrine?).
Bottle from Bevmo. Ticks all the boxes. Sweet start, with bitter notes taking over for a long finish. Chocolate, vanilla, and liquorice notes. PugUglyBrewer (658) - - DEC 24, 2016
Opaque black color with a brilliant head of tan foam. Complex aromas and flavors of rich plum, black licorice, semi-sweet dark cholocate, subtle molassesses, caramel, burnt sugar, and some light coffee roast. Pleasant alcohol warming after the finish. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAY 8, 2013
I absolutely loved this. Looks great, has a thick black color with dark tan head. The flavor is chewy and thick, yet it doesn’t make you feel fat. I could drink this all the time. A home run. wnewberr (100) - Huntersville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 13, 2012
Chocolate aroma with a very nice port taste. Label is very true to actual taste. Does not pour much of a head at all. Dry finish. Fantastic brew!

Although the head was somewhat lacking, the taste made up for it! There was a perfect balance of bitter, sweet, and smooth taste. laxuaca (24) - - JUL 15, 2015
Thick beige head. Strong, thick, chocolate/coffee smoky malts and boozy finish. Just about perfect. danrcook (25) - California, USA - JUL 23, 2012
This is the only imperial stout that can come close to competing with the Speedway Stout from Alesmith. Deep rich color with a toasted, nutty, malty finish. Beachmaster (558) - Oklahoma, USA - FEB 7, 2014
12 oz bottle. Pours deep black, with a long-lasting tan head that leaves good lacing. Nose is dark roast malt and chocolate. Taste is dark roast malt and dark fruit, with a long finish and slightly oily mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol well. A very good Imperial Stout.
