COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our award winning Hefeweizen is one of the breweries most popular selections. Unlike the lemon-laden wheat beers that flood market today, Mission Hefeweizen is a true example of a classic Bavarian Hefeweizen - exhibiting a wonderful bouquet of clove, banana, pear, among other aromas and flavors which make this beer a refreshing and full flavored brew. Make no mistake – there is no fruit in this beer. The complex and flavorful character of our Hefeweizen is achieved by the authentic Bavarian yeast strain employed in its production. 15 IBU

Location: 12 oz bottle from State Line, 2/9/15

Aroma: The nose is citrus, yeast, and wheat, but with something slightly off
Appearance: An orange colored beer with a quick dissipating off-white head and mild, drippy lace
Flavor: Flavor-wise, this one has a saison yeast, spice, wheat, and some sweet malts
Palate: The body is light, with a lively-to-fizzy carbonation, and a mildly dry finish
Overall Impression: This wasn’t my favorite of the style, but it worked decently. I’ve certainly had many many better hefes. There is too much carbonation here. It is on the poorer side of the examples of this particular style.

Draft at the brewery. Pours opaque gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like orange, bubblegum, wheat, dry grains. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like wheat, orange, bubblegum, candy, and light banana.

boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 6, 2014
Draft. Pours hazy orange with a medium sized white head. The aroma has banana, light on the clove. The taste is standard for the style.
