Our award winning Hefeweizen is one of the breweries most popular selections. Unlike the lemon-laden wheat beers that flood market today, Mission Hefeweizen is a true example of a classic Bavarian Hefeweizen - exhibiting a wonderful bouquet of clove, banana, pear, among other aromas and flavors which make this beer a refreshing and full flavored brew. Make no mistake – there is no fruit in this beer. The complex and flavorful character of our Hefeweizen is achieved by the authentic Bavarian yeast strain employed in its production. 15 IBU

Sample pour of golden yellow with a light fluffed head. Nose is mostly bananas with mild spice notes and slight grassiness. Flavor is mostly bananas again with mild cloves and other spices. Not a bad hefe, especially since it’s light on the cloves and I’m not a huge clove guy.

I thought this was a nicely balanced Hefe. There wasn’t too much bannana, bread or clove taste, just a pretty standard beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with almost no head. A fair amount of citrus in the nose with some slight floral notes. Taste has the same citrus in there, but isn’t quite as light as you’d think.

12oz bottle in a weizen glass. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of pale malts, a little wheat, and floral hops. Flavor the same, sort of light on everything. Average texture. A decent beer but not the best.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light golden in color with a small creamy white head. Aroma notes of clove, banana, and yeasy bread. Wheat grain dominating flavor with touch of citrus zest. Good solid hefe.

On tap at the brewery, pours a hazy rusty yellow. Nose is banana and cloves. Taste is bubblegum , cloves and bananas. Finish is short and ends with a bubblegum taste. Quaff Score 5 / 20

Bottle. Poured a true to style a hazy light honey color. Small head that dissipated quickly. Great aroma of clove and banana. Some grass aroma also. Medium light sweetness. Ave to low carbonation. Banana flavors with a bit of spice, coriander. Not bad
