Our award winning Hefeweizen is one of the breweries most popular selections. Unlike the lemon-laden wheat beers that flood market today, Mission Hefeweizen is a true example of a classic Bavarian Hefeweizen - exhibiting a wonderful bouquet of clove, banana, pear, among other aromas and flavors which make this beer a refreshing and full flavored brew. Make no mistake – there is no fruit in this beer. The complex and flavorful character of our Hefeweizen is achieved by the authentic Bavarian yeast strain employed in its production. 15 IBU

Pours hazy with brassy yellow hue and half-inch off-white froth. Aroma is balanced toward clove with hint of banana and wheat. Refreshing flavor built on wheat tang along with malt backbone, plus clove spiciness and pear notes from yeast. Moderate carbonation (could be higher) and slight residual sweetness.

12 oz. bottle. Poured cloudy orange with a white dissipating head. Aroma was sweet fruit, orange, wheat. Taste was medium sweet, light sour, orange, citrus.

Shared with with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head Light lacing. Nose is banana and clove, with wheat and lemon. Something dusty. Light to medium body. Flavor is strongly of banana and clove with the lemon and some floral notes carrying over into the light bitter finish . Maybe not to style but not bad in drink-ability .

22oz bottle 8/5//16 (SNA L/O)-Pours a murky yellow with a small head. Aroma of banana, clove, spices, and wheat. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and not a bad American Hefe.

Hazy deep golden with a thin white foamy top. Semisweet wheaty and clovey and slightly honey nose. Similar flavor that’s bready, fluffy, slightly grassy, a touch of bubblegum and clove, just tastes mellow and "Americanized" and just kinda whatever.

blipp (9920) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 19, 2016
Bottle. Pours orange gold with a white head. Fruity yeasty base, light spicy yeasty notes, some straw and grain, and mild moderate sweetness. Pretty good.

Bomber, thanks Christina! Spicy yeast aroma with notes of banana, pear and clove. Pours cloudy golden colored with a virtually non-existent white head that has no retention or lacing. Starts with spicy yeast flavors with sweet note of pear as well. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with sweet banana and clove flavors. Nice hefe!

Have had served in glass before but drinking this one straight from long neck bottle for review. Aroma sour with hints of fruit and yeast. Taste is sour and tangy with notes of sour fruit malts and yeast. Sorta a sour taste overall. Can not find a born on or best by date on bottle. Maybe I got these from a skunked case or maybe they are supposed to taste like this, IDK, but they are not to good. Have had a few other selections from this brewery including the IPA which was ok.

Everything is below average and on the whole it is difficult to not write a complete mess. 15 second head, much under carbonated, north american wheat beer flavor. As boring to write about as it is to drink.
