"Unfortunately another standard entry. Nothing wrong here, but nothing that makes you take notice either. Very light grass and semi-sweet cereal/grain type malt. Just ok."

From the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 12/10/2007 as El Amigo Light Pale malt aroma. Clear golden coloured and hoppy with a crisp malt finish.

A- Pours a clear, pale straw color, minimal head and lacing which is unsurprising for this style S- Smooth and crisp malty aroma, touch of grains and earthiness T- Initial taste is subtle bread/grain malts, finishes with dry, bitter hops, no alcohol presence, very smooth and refreshing M- Light-bodied lager, watery texture, lively carbonation D- Very easy-drinking lager that is perfect for long sessions of drinking; I would imagine it would take a lot of this beer to have much damage; tight and crisp taste profile, this is a prototypical example of the Helles style that I can appreciate even though the genre is not a personal favorite

GABF 2007 as El Amigo Light. A hazy golden beer wtih a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of grain and straw as well as citrusy notes of hops.

Had on draft at Newport Pizza and Ale house. Pours a nice golden hue with a small white head. Aroma has a light hoppiness and graininess to it. Flavor is very good, maltiness paired perfectly with a subtle hops presence. There’s a slight bit of sweet on the backside that proves very enjoyable. It’s easy to see why this brew earned Ray a gold medal at the 2007 GABF. Nicely done~

On tap at UTC location. Pours clearish light yellow with a big, crisp, white head that fades quick, specks of lace. Smells crisp, light, and sweet malty. Tastes light and crisp malty, lingering honey sweetness. Pretty nice for a light. Is it really a light beer? Almost leaves a fake sugar coating/aftertaste. Thin body, good carbonation.

Tap @ Ritual Tavern. Overall I really liked this, I don’t know much about this style, but it was tasty with a nice hoppyness.

Tap @ O’Briens. Clear light gold with a nice white bubbly head. Noble hops, some sugar and straw. Refeshing taste of hops, grass, and a lemony/mineral tinge.
