Hops til you drop, gorgeous color, creamy head, after-taste to die for. Yummy Yummy drpimento (3634) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Excellent IPA! Served with a nice thick, creamy, foamy, cream-colored head that settled to a creamy (ouch - what’s a synonym for creamy?) cover and lots of fine, sheeting lace. Color is a clear amber with loads of tiny bubble trails. Aroma is an aromatic blend of hop and caramel malt with a hint of fruit. Flavor’s like nose, has limited sweetness, perfect balance between bitter, carbonic tang in front, with that sweet just to compliment. Body and carbonation perfect. Finish is a little long and pleasant, very drinkable, and only the suggestion of alcohol. I want more! davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - SEP 21, 2013
On tap at the Gertrude Hotel. Aromas of citrus, hints of vanilla and grass. Sweet, with light bitterness, long length.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange color, medium to full sized white head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is malts, hops, fruit hops, grapefruit, tropical fruits, a slight fruit sweet touch. Taste lightly malts, hops, fruit hops, tropical fruits again, fruity bitter finish. Medium body, decent carbonation. Very nice! Lovely IPA!

22oz bottle. Pours a dark orange, crystal clear body with a thick, finger-width, rocky white head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of soapy lacing. Aroma of sweet, resiny, floral citrus and a real nice balancing caramel. Flavor is nicely balanced as well. Big grapefruit, resiny citrus with lots of sweet caramels. Finishes medium dry with a long, resiny aftertaste. Medium bodied. Overall, a really well put together IPA. Big taste, not overly aggressive, and very well balanced from beginning to end. Impressive stuff. yemenmocha (659) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - MAR 16, 2010
Pours translucent dark gold with a touch of amber hue, ample sized white head laces nicely. Nose has an abundance of citrus, especially tangerine and maybe some apricot-grapefruit. On the palate there’s a candied malt sweetness that mingles nicely with the hoppy-citrusy flavors. Finishes well with some herbal hop flavors. Skeegle (566) - Maryland, USA - JUN 18, 2010
Wow was this a surprise. Sweet malts everywhere, of the vienna and sweet tea vein. Hops definitely take a back seat to the sweet maltiness of this fine beer. Citrussy hops in the background. Great beer, though I may call this more of an english bitter than an IPA. AlephNull3 (114) - New Jersey, USA - DEC 11, 2010
Damn this beer is so good. Pours a nice golden slightly hazy hue with a light head with slight lacing. Aroma average, not really for me somehting I could identify. Taste ... all I can say is WOW. the smooth dryness of the hops with a mellow so tasteful citrus finish. THIS BEER IS REALLY F**ING. This beer goes on my highly recommended list. zizzybalubba (1869) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 8, 2011
22 oz. bottle from Wine 101 in Wake Forest. Pours dark orange with bubbly off-white carbonation. Aroma of fresh pine and tangerines. Clean grapefruit and citrus flavor with a slightly bitter pine and grass finish. Nice juicy mouthfeel that keeps this from seeming too watered down like some IPAs. A great IPA that may fall short of some of the other San Diego breweries but is great overall.
