12 oz bottle. The pour here is a copper color with a thin off-white head that leaves some light lacing here and there. This smells of brown sugar, resinous hops, and caramel. There’s bread notes mixing in there too. The flavor adds some sweet orange/tangerine to resinous hops and caramel. It’s slick, sweet, and fairly thick in the body. It does dry out a bit in the finish, with sharp bitterness, but not without some lingering sticky malt and alcohol. Meh. Decent. A little too much malt and I’m not a huge fan of the mostly resinous hop profile. EricTeusink (700) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 12, 2013
This was NYC trip beer number 4. After this beer, I begin to forget the order, thus ratings beyond this are not in any temporal order. As if anyone truly cares. I always feel uneasy rating something I have on cask. This was either the last beer i had at Blind Tiger or the first at Pony Bar. Poured amber with an obviously light head. Very floral with a smell similar to a saison. It had a wine-like flavor with the sweet outshining the bitter. Just okay for me. Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 9, 2013
Thick rich syrupy beverage with a pungent aroma of over over ripe fruit. Nice golden amber hazy poor. jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle from mane liquor. Lovely golden orange pour with a small white head which disappears rapidly. Solid carbonation almost perfect. Thick piney resinous aroma. Some hops in there too. Taste quite soft on the palate. More pine hops coming through. Shortbread biscuit malt and a bit of caramel in there too. Bitterness doesn't last for long kinda teases you a bit. Feel the booze. Pretty solid stuff.

Bouteille 12 fl oz. Ambrée translucide. Nez de houblons résineux et de toffee légèrement brûlé. Bouche huileuse et chaude; l’amertume ne s’accompagne pas de saveurs intéressantes ou d’un équilibre appréciable avec le malt... Bof...

Not your typical ipa at all! In a good way! Aroma smells strongly if hops but isn't too overpowering. Great finish that tastes of clove. Head dissipates too quickly for my liking, but overall a great beer!

5/6/13. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy orange pour with a small khaki head. Bold west coast hop aroma, lots of citrus and dank, with a touch of caramel. Rich bitter hop flavor with plenty of citrus, pine, and bits of tropical fruit and caramel. Lingering dry finish and maybe a hint of tartness. I dig it! At just on cool and into a deep tulip. Sunny orange copper and bright as bright. Carbonation is fine and steady in its rise releasing to amosphere without hindrance as the head lasts little more than seconds after settling. Wickedly bitter, manky, forest floor hops and rubbery, burnt toast phenols play on the nose amongst a spicy kick of that alcohol. Quite soft on the palate. A little dirty in taste. Alcohol kicks like a mother; the hops ill-defined and melded into the sweet, sticky malt profile. Not much body to it. Well spiced, floral finish, quite medicinal. Not to good at all! The aroma is probably the least impressive part of this beer as the hops aren’t as present as everywhere else in the beer. A very tasty floral/bitter flavor and a great finish . Excellent. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Bottle from Slowbeer. Great taste, in the malty side. Aromas of liquorice, cherry, and caramel. Taste is sweet and bitter, very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.
