COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A style of beer curiously born on the foggy shores of Father Junipero Serras first founding mission. Our own vigorous entry is one rebellious IPA, quick on the trigger, and brimming with a bounty of hop ingenuity. This is a big, bold, brazen beer, a restless vision of a new America.

Nice copper color. Clean filtered. Nice head. The hops are not as potent as one would expect from a double IPA. The Malta seem a little more prevalent in the flavor. Though the hops seemed to stick a little more as I drank it. Palate stickige.

Poured a cloudy apricot with a thin white head. Aroma was grapefruit malt and some pine. On the palate you get sweet fruit followed by malt and finishing with a lingering bitterness of some pine and grassy notes. Mouthfeel was medium and smooth but did have a little alcohol burn.

Pours golden orange from the bottle with a strong smell of booze and a little hops. A nice taste but the booze overpowers the hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a bright golden orange with a few fizzy bubbles and a thin tight white head. The nose is mildly resinous with moderate pine and a solid citrus based hop, a few toasty caramel makes as well. Solid sweet mid palate with a regular San Diego style sweet smack of mild resin and s splash of citrus. full bodied and a solid moderate bitterness with a bit of alcohol presence. overall a good beer but not great.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a medium white head. Nose is hoppy and the taste is a little bit bitter, but without a lot of maltiness to it. Not a bad brew...

On tap at the brewer, pours a rusty golden yellow with a small head. Nose is citrus and pine. Taste is citrusy and bitter with NO hiding the alcohol. Finish is long and bitter. Finish is bitter sweet. Quaff Score 8 / 10

On tap at Mission Brewery. Pours a hazy gold with a white head and aroma of hops and pine. Taste is bitter up front, of massive hops, pine, and citrus notes with a bitter, dry finish. Great DIPA

Poured from 1 gallon growler box. Pours clear amber in color with thin white head. Aroma is alcohol and a bit of hops. Taste is slightly sweet up front with a fair amount of bitterness in the back end. Decent, but pales in comparison to some other DIPAs from SD.

From a bottle at velvet lounge dc. Pours a hazy copper with a thin white head. Citrus and pine nose. Nice balance of spruce and orange zest. Bitter finish.
