Excellent, up there with all the so cal best: sculpin, whipeout, green flash west coast ipa, ect. (i know, im comparing double ipa to ipa, so what).. Southern cali brewers must buy their hops at dispensaries!!! Thats the secret!! ipas from the san diego area are by far the best. I know, what about DFH? .........S.D. Ipas are better, im sorry. And furthermore..........these same people that are rating this beer between 2-3 will be the same ones that will return a year from now and rate it a 4-5, I assure you! eelbasher (285) - New Jersey, USA - AUG 30, 2012
12oz bottle from a friend that said it was so nasty, that i had to try it. Poured golden copper with a little head. Nice piney, earthy hops and some bready malts. Decent drinking but a bit thin. Could use a little more body and more lingering hops for a DIPA. Very easy to drink though. Enjoyable knewell (73) - Alabama, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Pours a yellow golden color. Has a citrus aroma. Has a citrus, hoppy taste that is a little bitter with a mild sweetness after the swallow. I am not a big IPA fan, but overall, not a bad beer. rocbyter (2184) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Strong sour resin and citrus hop aroma. Cloudy orange color with a medium tan head. Sweet full bodied beginning with a light bitter and sweet finish. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2012
A clear golden/yellow colored beer, with a off white head. The aroma of sweet fruits, with hop bitter and nettle. The taste of sweet grapes and hop bitters. The aftertaste is sweet with bitter.

Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma has plenty of hops, sweet caramel malt. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, citrusy fruits, hops, grassy hops. The alcohol is pretty well hidden. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Bottle at lucky lab. Pours clear orange with a small head that dissipates rapidly. Aroma is all citrus but has a small hop aroma. Taste is bitter forward with a bunch of sweetness on the finish. Solid but not spectacular. dmac (6574) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 10, 2012
12 oz bottle from J Canal’s Egg Hrabor Twsp. Poured a deep clear honey brown body with a small to average sized super light beige head. Aroma of dry citrus rind, yellow grapefruit pulp, hop syrup, marmalade coated toast, fruit skins and grains. Full bodied with a strong harsh finish, average carbonation and a medium duration on the finish. Flavor of citrus rind, strong grapefruit notes, honey, medium toast, grains, cereal, a bit dry overall. Solid beer, but with so many DIPAs out there I doubt I’d buy this one again. 355 mL bottle. Copper orange, not quite clear. Small white head. Nice aroma hits all of the hop elements (resin, citrus, floral), but the whole does not quite equal the sum of the parts. Nice balance of citrus and caramel in the flavour. Alcohol is hidden. Bitter enough, but it does not linger on the tongue. Good beer, not great. benderlil (13) - California, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Warning: way better on draft than in bottles.
This is a great 2IPA. Hops take you from the nose to the finish. Enough malt to carry it.
