Mission street pours rich brown with a small head of white bubbles. Nose is lightly nutty an metallic. Body is thinner than expected and rather plain. Taste is mild roasted malt and some herbal/vegetable that seems off. Finishes rather blah. Based on other ratings here i wonder if i got an old/bad bottle.
bottle. brown with one finger head. malty caramel and brown sugar, slightly nutty. a bit thin, but hard to complain for the price. JorgeLee (2235) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 27, 2017
Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Nice rich chestnut colour, bright, white foam. A malty rather than a more American hoppy brown, quite rich malt loaf, toffee, slightly nutty, some fruit. Low bitterness. Not bad. mrjaxson (618) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 25, 2017
An odd mix of aromas and tastes. Scents of caramel, raisins, perfume and a lighter weight red wine -- maybe a malbec? Lightweight body and a more bitter than sweet finish. Not much here. hershiser2 (3667) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAR 24, 2017
Bomber from Trader Joe’s. Clear brown with a soft beige head. Aroma is fruity and floral, along with some slight nutty notes. Taste is lightly sweet caramel malts, nuts, but not bitter nuts. Smooth. Fine. Nie (131) - - MAR 11, 2017
Brown sugar and acorn aroma. Brown, clear, tiny activity, no head. Brazil nut, almond, straw finish, a bit weak in flavor. Medium-light body. Absolutely solid brown for the value.

Very standard brown ale. Good example of the style. Not overly nutty or caramel notes, mild on all fronts. But lacking body fullness. From Trader Joes Berkeley.

Poured from a bomber bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a bubbly, active pour and a mostly clear brown body with a significant ruby-amber hue and a good-sized bubbly tan head with shorter retention and lighter cling and lacing. Its aroma featured caramel malt, along with fruity scents, including raisin and some banana, and a good bit of barley. It was mostly sweet and malty with a caramel flavor along with some very light grainy bitterness and a few notes of fruits and raisin. Its body was fairly wet and watery with low to average carbonation and a lighter, thinner mouthfeel. Thank you Linda for the gift! Hinez57 (253) - Clinton, Mississippi, USA - JUN 26, 2016
The aroma on this beer is wonderful, one of the best brown ale aromas I’ve experienced. Tons of chocolate with bready malt backbone semingly munich malt like. Clear brown ale with toasted head. The flavors lack the depth or power of the aroma however is balanced with moderate roast, mild chocolate, grassy malt flavors, and grassy herbal hop undertones. The palate is wonderful but slightly over-bitter. Overall for value this is a great beer. There are better browns but this one is solid and quite enjoyable. tfontana (1129) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 12, 2016
Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is weak bread, caramel and brown sugar. Appearance is clear dark mahogany with trace sparkle, two finger-width foamy beige head with good retention and minimal lacing. Taste is like aroma--like brown bread. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft to average carbonation and sweet, malty finish. Overall, a straightforward, standard brown ale that is decent but nothing special. Quite easy to drink and soft in features. Very nutty in some features and thin but well shaped
