Earthy and hoppy. Fairly bitter with a hint of the malt underneath. Not floral, perhaps a hint of citrus. The finish is a bit watery, but lingers.

$1.17 bottle from Trader Joes, Charlottesville. Hazy orange with a soft off-white head. Heft floral hop aroma, along with some bready malts. Flavor is heavily leaning floral, folloowed by mild citrus and bread. Quite good. Im ashamed of myself for ignoring Trader Joes beers for so long.

6-pack from Trader Joes. Pleasant enough fruity floral aroma with light caramalt. Taste is good, not great. Grassy and citrusy American hops, medium bitter finish. Great for the price (about $1.10/bottle!)

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joes. Aroma is bready malt base with fruity hops, mild pine and resin. Appearance is minimally hazy light brown with attractive sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with decent retention and lacing. Taste is mix of sweet and bitter fruit and bread. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture and average to lively carbonation and dry, bitter fruity finish. Overall, some complexity but not overly so; lasting impact of hops is more for bittering than flavor.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a off-white, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, pine, resin, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lingering bitterness and resin taste along with grapefruit rind, citrus. Short of a resin bomb because of the malt backbone.

Lots of flavor (bitter) in this beer. I had this side-by-side with a Mission St. Pale Ale, and I liked the stronger, bitter flavor in the IPA better: big surprise. This is a solid IPA.

Whoa. For an IPA you can get on the cheap (thanks Trader Joes), Mission Street is a damn fine creation. Mission Street pours amber-orange with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is dank with hops, but you can still detect the caramel malt. Taste follows the aroma. Sweet malt, citrusy hops (grapefruit juice, orange peel, orange juice, lime), and pine. Allegedly, Firestone Walker brews this for TJs distribution. If thats the case, I can definitely see why this brew is excellent. If not, its solid piece of craftsmanship. Next time, Ill just get a six-pack...

Deep golden with a white head - hoppy aroma with fruits and citrus - Good malt to support a good hop flavour with citrus and hints of pine - Hop finish with citrus that ends dry - This was good
