dark amber color, aroma of toast, grain, roasted malt, flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, toast, grain, earthy hops, easy to drink, but lacking the punch of a porter
Quart jug bottle. Clear dark bronze pour with a large beige head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Nice nutty brown flavor. Smooth. Light body. A little thin mouthfeel for a porter. Unremarkable, but good. gripweed57 (2574) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - MAY 18, 2017
From old tasting notes. Dark reddish brown color. Bubbly beige head. Sour malt nose. Zesty toasted malt flavor hints at chocolate and allspice. Bittersweet hop finish. Nicely balanced. Sdaniel90 (1082) - Mexico City, MEXICO - APR 22, 2017
Quart bottle. Dark orange with a foamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, spices. Medium to full bodied, soft fizzy carbonation. Thick and creamy. Medium sweet, lightly bitter. Watery and slightly boozy. teamsale (273) - Washington, USA - APR 19, 2017
Quart bottle received as a gift. Pours a cola color with a four finger beige head and splotchy lacing. Aroma is rust and raisin. Mouthfeel is extremely flat, minimal carbonation. Taste is a light porter, a bit earthy, on the sweet side. Leaves a decent coffee aftertaste that doesn’t overstay its welcome. So-so. Westy1130 (97) - New York, USA - APR 1, 2017
Picked it up just for the bottle design.
Pours a dark caramel brown; starts with a decent head but quickly dissipates (even with a straight pour).
Aroma: Slight hints of corn, grass and malt.
Taste: very malty but extremely watered down (especially for a black & tan).

Been seeing this at Trader Joe’s for years decided it was time to try it. 32oz Growlette poured into a pint glass. Clear red-brown color, small white head.Tastes of liquorice, raisins, malty, porter watered down by a pilsner. Taste of a weak brown ale BeerBaby (93) - , Florida, USA - DEC 13, 2016
Quart bottle from Austin’s Coffee house in Winter Park, Florida. Aroma is a wonderful yeasty beer aroma that I love. Large tan head and body is a dark amber. Mouth feel is a bit thin. Has a bit of that coffee flavor, but the Pilsner in it tends to water it down. It’s an average beer in my opinion. Very much like your run of the mill big brewery type of beer. Most certainly nothing special. PugUglyBrewer (691) - - NOV 24, 2016
Dark Amber to ruby-brown color with a thin off-white fizzy head. The aroma is slighty toasty and sweet grain. Light bodied with light toasted grain and moderate caramel. Cool keepsake jug that it comes in. Carlisle (764) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Growler (32oz). Pours brown with tan head. Chocolate and bread aroma. Bread crust with chocolate notes followed by a watery finish.
