i like dark beers. i also like the lite ones but i am allergic to the lighter ones. i am 38 years old and i have just found this beer. been drinking it for 2 mounths now with hardly any bad side affects.. you laugh but when you drink one beer, just one and get a migrane you know theres a problem.. this is the first beer i have found other than gueniss that leave me feeling fine.. no matter how many i drink. i wish i had this beer when i was younger. its a blessing. best dang beer to me and believe me i have tried a lot of them.. alot.. The crafters hit the mark with me. The aroma keeps me coming back, The appearance is great and full of color in a frosty mug. I serve at room temp and place it slowly down the side of a frosty mug). To low a temp will kill the many great flavors and the snap at the end. As for the palate, a bit playfull, full body with a creamy smoooth slide. :-)
As for overall impression, I purchased 2 cases just to be sure I have some on hand. V/R Kent M. Whitney Master Chief, USN Retired
Wow! Sexy ass beer I dont like Mississippi so much but this shit is bad ass it comes in a almost 1000 ml bottle very smooth very awesome for playing Modern Warfare 3 and very very Awesome for Gears of War 3 BOOOYYAAAAAAA MISSISSIPPI MUD!!!! swoongangsta (1) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - FEB 4, 2007 does not count
Black and Tans premium beer in my opinion. I’ve tried many and this is it.
Besides making your own with Pilsner and Porter mix or going to a pub and receiving Guiness Stout along with Harps or Bass.
Mississippi Mud is very smooth, easy to drink... Worth trying if you haven’t. My suggestion as far as finding it in any area...check with distributors first , they will help you find this elusive beer. dkcamper (2) - USA - FEB 13, 2008 does not count
One of my favorite beers that has become hard to come by lately. I love the taste and could drink it all day. Hope it become more popular again.

This is the right way to make a pre-mixed black and tan. This is second only to taking bass & Guiness and mixing it yourself. It has a wondeful rich taste, and goes down smooth. It may be to thick for some peoples tastes, so if you aren’t in to dark beers this is probably not the beer for you. However if you are a fan of Bass, Guiness, Newcastle, or any other similar beer give this one a shot, you will probably like it! cyberdrunk99 (1) - Flushing, New York, USA - JUL 17, 2001 does not count

quite surprised that the quality of the beer surpassed many micro brew beers and was only 3.99.
