bij de eerste slok denk je aan een lekker doordrinkbiertje, maar de sponzige nasmaak verpest veel.

Bottled - nice clear golden appearance. Aroma is yeast and bananas (better than it sounds). Not sure how to rate the taste! Better than bland and quite nicely balanced but not a strong or distinctive taste - eminently drinkable but not a go to beer.

Bottle. Clear Yellow in colour. Good foamy white head. Grainy cereal malts, caramel. Lemon citrus. Lightly spicy. Light grassy hops. Sweet malty with mild lemon and light hops. Fairly bland. Easy drinking. (2017-02)

From a bottle simply labeled "Vollbier Hell". Judging from ABV and style I’m taking it to be the same as the Karwendel. Pours clear gold. The head is bubbly and immediately disappears. Very grassy aroma with light dank notes. Very lively mouthfeel with lots of carbonation. Taste is malty sweet, grainy, mineral water. Finishes like a hard mineral water with a sweet, grassy touch. Unimpressed.

4.9% not 4.7%. In a beerhawk mystery selection box. Golden , sweet liquid , not much going on and no hops. Not one I will be looking out for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at a Restaurant in Krün. Pours straw yellow. Nose is cereal, bread, hay. Palate is pretty buttery, faint citrus, bread. Short and bitter finish. Ok

Yields a bright golden, completely filtered beer, with a small, white head on it, which immediately disappears. Smells of young hay with a wet tang to it, together with soft white bread malts, rolled in rock sugar. Has a lively, yet fuller mouthfeel, pleasantly smoothed out by the effervescent, refreshing finish. Tastes of dried garden herbs, sugar sprinkeled white bread dough, and an uprising toffee malt sweetness. Malts define the finish, which does not turn overly sweet, due to a mineralic quality from the bubbly carbonation, toning it down to the level of the more subtle appearing hay. Refreshing and well balanced, with an effective use of the higher carbonation level, which holds to the malts in balance while providing the beers bright and rustic character.
