Poured a very dark, nearly black color with a thin beige/tan head with minimal lacing. Aroma included roasted malts with a light fruity twinge with fall leaves in there too. Taste was complex - roasted malts, sweet potato and pumpkin/spices with a mild hop finish. Palate was fairly decent. Overall, a nice complex tasting fall/winter seasonal brew. A nice sampler for in front toasty fire on a cold night.
12 ounce bottle, 10/16/16. Dark brown, thin fizzy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of pumpkin spice, salt, mild roast. The taste is pumpkin, vanilla, spice, chocolate. Thin. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 8, 2016
Tap at The Old Fashioned in Madison, WI. Clear red pour with weaker soda foam. Sticky black cherry nose. Flavor is a bit watery, earthy/soil type of bitterness and harsher roasted malt character. Medium bodied, nothing I would call sweet potato. bpreo (2836) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - DEC 17, 2015
Oh, this is great. It has all the right Porter flavors with a bice toasted sweetness reminisncent of chocolate. twindadplus2 (714) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 15, 2015
Deep black color with a firm light brown head. Creamy, spicy, roasted malt aroma. Flavor is creamy malt and holiday spice with a dark roasted bitterness at the end. Rich and full-bodied with a long creamy, spiced finish. I don’t normally like pumpkin spice beers but I was hoping that this being a porter would help it stand up to the spices more and it did. I liked this one a lot more than I thought I would. Nsanders (1142) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - OCT 14, 2015
Tap at Stout’s Pub. Deep red brown with a lasting tan head. Roasted malts, peanut shells, pumpkin and a little cinnamon. Taste is lightly sweet with a long dry finish. Medium body with a light foamy feel. Not as sweet or pumpkiny as many, but decent.

Nice dark coal pour with very light low head. The nose is a holiday treat, with pumpkin pie, caramel, sticky toffee pudding, cinnamon. Vegetal malts as well. Pretty light body with an average simple palate. Has a very light tang. Taste is a tangy vegetal malt. The pumpkin and cinnamon is light win very weak caramel notes. Nice enough. 3.6 gopherfan99 (1820) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 9, 2014

Nice medium dark roast porter, with a bit of cocoa, sweet potato, milk, whipped cream, and a touch of pumpkin spice. Medium body, smooth with ample carbonation. Real pleasant and well-balanced.
