From the guys that invented Mmmmbop - Hanson.

After a few years of developing our vision and perfecting our debut recipe, we have premiered in our home state of Oklahoma, and across the Midwest with our flagship beer "Mmmhops", which is a full-bodied delicious Pale Ale, with a unique toasted malt signature and refreshing hop finish.

As a fellow Tulsan quite familiar with the Hansons, I had mixed feelings about this one long before it ever landed on shelves. It’s likely among the strongest brewed by Mustang and one of the strongest pales I’ve had. I was quite pleased with the initial tastes, but it’s the finish that ruins this from being a star. They need to tweak the finish before too many taste this and cross it off their lists. It’s not ready. Go back and rework the recipe and smooth out that awful end.

Great all around taste that goes great with food or by itself. The Hops taste is fantastic, and full of flavor.

Bottle. Pours a golden amber with a foamy off white head. Aroma is pine and sweet malt. Not overly hoppy. Very sweet and malty in flavor. A bit too much. Also has a metallic flavor in there. Medium bodied.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival; dark amber color; fruity hop aroma; citrusy, fruity hops; lots of tropical fruit notes; medium bodied, bready, caramel malt base

12oz bottle. Pours dark copper with red hues. Aroma of toffee, grain, hint of citrus. Flavor is grain, caramel, spruce, citrus. I’m getting more of a malt profile than the hops. Not a bad beer. Quite easy to drink without any harshness. However, I was hoping for more hops being that it is called Mmmhops. See, hops is in the name.

Bottle: Poured a murky brown with an off white head. Aroma was light hops and sweet malts. Taste was light hops, butterscotch, sweet malt backbone. A light but drinkable infection.

12 oz bottle. (Collins Midtown Liquor) Tulsa, OK.
Hanson brothers are still active... in music? Wow! And they are from Tulsa. I didn’t know. Had to watch MmmBop from YouTube. Classic shit. Clear deep golden color with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is stale hops, sweetness and malt. Unfortunately the bottle doesn’t say how old it is. The flavor is sweetness, stale hops, wet malt and some newspaper. Not a classic.

Had at Epcot. Dank hops with breads body. Nothing to excited about, but the concerts are good, glad I tried.

That’s a hefty Pale Ale at 7.5%! This bottle smells a little old to me. It is indeed full bodied with a caramel sweetness, but the hop is a bit muddled. It has some fruitiness but the dominant aroma is one I can only describe as old. There is a mellow bitterness to it.

Somewhat cloudy orange with a thin white head. A lot of carbonation. Head dissipates very quickly. Dull sweet aroma. Tin flat flavor. Bit of bitter and a bit of extract perhaps? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a decent head that fades to bits of laci no. Aroma of toasted malt, trace of citrus and grass. Taste of roasted malt, caramel like sweetness, grain and trace of citrus. Mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Moderate body and smooth. Seems to be missing a hops character. Nothing to see here....
