Based on a German Kristallweizen style beer, but in a nod to its origins, Moa Blanc is brewed using renowned Sauvignon Blanc wine yeast. A blend of 50% wheat malt and 50% barley malt results in an elegantly smooth beer with hints of spice and uplifting esters.

Tasting Notes
Moa Blanc has a fruity aroma and taste. Banana, vanilla, citrus and bubble gum fruit flavours dominate, with some phenolic characters present. Moa Blanc is a highly drinkable wheat beer, with flavours more moderate than other wheat beers. Hop aroma and bitterness are minimal. Moa Blanc is best served at approximately 4˚C in a pilsner glass.

750ml bottle. Looked like a good New Zealand bottle of beer to pop the cork on to celebrate the All Blacks winning the rugby world cup. It probably gets a higher overall rating than it deserves because of that. Hazy light golden with large but diminishing fluffy white head. Aromas of wheat banana - very estery, clove, bread dough cobwebs, apple & pear. Light sweet, moderate bitter and sour flavour with long duration. Tingly carbonation, light medium body, texture on the watery side. For a lot less coin I could have had a lot more Hoegaarden, but on this occasion Moa looked a lot more celebratory.

Amarela alaranjada, ligeiramente turva. Espuma rala de curta durao. Aroma de baunilha e banana. Sabor amargo equilibrado de banana e tutti-fruti, com um toque ctrico. Retrogosto cido e amargo, com final ctrico e levemente metlico.

From bottle in tulip glass. Pours clear, pale yellow with modest head. Aroma of fruit bread and the taste is in that direction with low bitterness. OK.

Old rating. Weird bubbly wheat. Some fruity notes (but not usually wit fruits, more like grape and apple), fairly acidic, lots of carbonation. Didnt quite work for me.

330 ml bottle sampled April 2014. Clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma like something between a bad industrial lager and moisten rubber gloves. Flavor is light pale malty, quite metallic and low bitterness. Medium to thin body. Practically undrinkable.

Bottle from Party Source from notes. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, yeast, mild citrus peel, light banana, mild spice, rather boring actually.

750ml bottle into pint glass. Champagne bottle with cork! Slight wheat aroma. Cloudy yellow with active but dissipating head. Spritzy mouthfeel leading to burnt malt finish with a little grape. Its nice but for a wheat beer, so few fruit notes? Highly carbonated, maybe a champagne/beer hybrid?

bottle @ Party Source / Bellevue KY --- Clear light amber with a solid white head cover, splashes of lace. Good aroma of malt and floral hops. Taste is malt and wheat that adds just a touch of vanilla before crisply moving to floral hops on the swallow, with all parts then moving smoothly through a medium finish. Not strong or assertive, but clean, balanced, and easy to drink.

Good beer for summer night. Refreshing orange and banana aroma through to the palate with a bit of sweet potato. No particular note disturbingly dominates and a slight fruitiness lingers on the palate. Loving this as a starter beer.
